2014 Brides- What Decorations Are You Bringing

Recommended Posts

@@cubanaboliviana I love the papel picado signs you have! did you make them yourself or source them from Etsy?

I am thinking about incorporating these as well

The papel picado with names on them costs a lot of money, so we got some wedding papel from Amols and then got just the small flags for centerpieces with our names. I made the table numbers with the date and now I have to print out engagement pictures to put in them.

I have confidence that the hotel decorations will be beautiful based on the package we chose. I'm taking a few things to add a personalized touch. They have our names & date on them. We're trying to pack light with decoration things because the items for OOT bags will take up a lot of space and I don't want to travel back home with all those decorations.

Besides, we still have to decorate for our AHR.

I know that my resort charges a fee for this- <_<

The charge for this and using outside vendors is 150- Depending on what you are bringing, and what the vendor is offering, it may save some money though  :D

So far I've been getting everything approved to bring with me, and then printing out all of my e-mails so they can't hold it against me later...

My wedding is on the beach in Negril, so I'm only bringing colored sand and vases for my sand ceremony. For the reception, my resort is only providing linens, so I'm bringing tealights and holders, crystal confetti, potpourri in my wedding colors to sprinkle on the tables, and vases with artificial flowers. The reception is on the veranda, so I wanted things that might not be blown around.

My wedding is in 2015, I was planning on bringing , fabric for the ceremony location in my wedding colour, Mrs and Mr chair signs, sign for flower girl to hold walking down the isle, ring bearer box, palm tree guest book, cake topper and some flowers for the cake, some shells and beads for tables in wedding colour, mint napkins and some straws for the bar, and a sign to put in the sand at ceremony location. I would really like to personalize it more to us. Everything is so expensive when you don't have time to be creative.

I'm bringing little picture frames that I've embellished with butterflies for the tables, a ring cushion, the guest book, sparklers, bubbles, purple ribbon to tie around flower girls dress, silk flower petals, the cake topper, a Mr and Mrs sign, the flower girl basket... think that's it... we're getting a local vendor to supply the linens, and centre pieces.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
