Rehearsal Dinner in Cabo San Lucas

Hi, can anyone share with me your plans for a rehearsal dinner in Cabo? We were originally thinking about a sunset cruise, but haven't completely decided. If you are doing a cruise, I would appreciate to know what company you are using and the associated costs.  Thank you!!

We originally wanted to do a sunset cruise for our rehearsal dinner as well, but it didn't work out since 2 of the groomsmen (one was my fiance's brother) were arriving the day before the wedding and it would have been cutting it close to get them to the rehearsal and on the boat in time.  It seemed like too much of a rush.  So now we are doing our dinner at Baja Brewery which is located on the rooftop of Cabo Villas where most everyone is staying.  There is also a location downtown.   We are doing a taco bar that cost $26/person, not including alcohol.

The dinner cruise I was looking into was the Sun Rider... it would have been about $43/person for about 55 guests, which we thought was great price for food/drinks included.

We will probably still do the dinner cruise the night before the rehearsal, for those that can make it but we are not paying for it.

I too had the timing issue with the cruise and we have 150 people coming so the cost was addingup.  We are doing $26 per person taco bar as well at Baja cantina, right below Baja brewery in front of cabo villas.  It is a great location and on the beach.  I ate at Baja cantina and Baja brewery and you can't go wrong.  both have great food.  To cut costs we are providing 2 hours of margarita pitchers and beers.

 I hope this helps.

We're doing the Cabo Mar Dinner Cruise for our rehearsal dinner. We booked in 2013 so we were able to get 2013 prices but the cost has gone up for 2014. I believe it's now $65/person. And although all wedding guests are welcome to join us, we're only paying for the wedding party and their spouses and my parents. Kind of works out since some people want time to do their own activities while in Cabo. The welcome dinner at the hotel will include everyone. I think we have a nice balance of things planned and people still having their free time.

We are doing ours at a "Romeo y Julieta" restaurant.  It's an Italian restaurant (we thought people might want a break from Mexican food) in downtown.  The restaurant is really cute and the food is really good! They have several packages to choose from.  We chose the cheapest package which included Caesar salad, lasagna, and dessert for $19/person.  We are also going to make sure someone orders a Mexican coffee.  The "show" when they make the drink is really neat! :)

We're also doing a CaboMar dinner cruise.

The price they quoted us depends on the number of guests that end up coming.

I believe it was $65/person if you have 50 guests or less, $60/person if you have 100 guests or less or $55/person if you have 150 guests or less.  Pricey, but comparable to a nice sit down meal at a restaurant, plus it includes dancing, drinks, food all while seeing some sights!

ooh wow this sounds great. Both locations fit all 150 people? BTW how many people did you invite? I am just wondering because I am trying to get an idea of how many people might actually show up. How long in advance did you give them save the dates?

We are doing our rehearsal/welcome dinner at Los Tres Gallos.  Since we are having our wedding at Flora Farms, we wanted a very authentic Mexican restaurant in Cabo and our coordinator recommended Los Tres Gallos.  They have great reviews online and the manager is very responsive. Their prices are very affordable as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
