@jnj2102  From my friends experience I would highly recommend  Joel Finnigen http://www.weddingwire.com/reviews/joel-finnigen-photography-mount-vernon/7a45ba6667db4b88.html.  And he give those nice keepsake albums in his package which is always a plus . He's easy to contact  and response time is great.

Hey ladies! So I've been thinking more about the details. How are you all going to stay in contact with your guests since the only wifi is in the lobby? I'm pretty sure we are going to arrive one day before everyone. So I was thinking maybe email everyone when we arrive and know our room number so they can call us in the room when they get to theirs? I still want a welcome type dinner but I want people to be able to contact us when they arrive.

I heard that they have wifi in the entire hotel now.

@@NenaRoss u can't get any more reasonable than Godfrey TRUST ME....let him know you or your family is Jamaican as well. He also knows the resort inside out. He's very upfront about what can and can't be done. Example I told him my budget and I requested a certain type of flower. He told me it would cost me too much but then sent me flowers that looked just as nice for cheaper

I know u get upgraded one room category so if u have an oceanfront room they will upgrade u to presidential suite if available. ....praying we get it I heard it's absolutely beautiful

When i went in 2013 I had the opportunity to visit the presidential suites. I actually have pictures of it. Its huge (like a one bedroom apartmetn) and the Jacuzzi on the balcony is such an added plus. I reached out to event planner and I think he gave me a great price as well. I have all of the stuff. But bringing it back and forth isn't worth it to me.

Yes you know I just read some stuff in another group and they were saying how they used wifi all over the resort even the beach and it was good connection! I am so excited now!

8 weeks from today for me! To me I think "Oh my gosh we only have 8 weeks left - so much to do!" To my fiance it is "We still have 8 weeks! We have plenty of time!" Haha.

I get my dress tomorrow and have an alterations appointment on Saturday. I'm hoping it is a little bit snug because I still plan to lose 5 pounds. My fiance has given zero thought to what he is going to wear and we have not gotten rings yet.

I'm still working through a fair amount of details like centerpieces, place cards, guestbook, welcome letter/itinerary, etc. So much to think about! Honestly, I'm not really into all the planning and I'm anxious for that to be over. The to-do list is just getting in the way of my excitement!

@@budgetbride2015 - Haha! I actually put my sister and best friend in charge of my guest book. I told them what I want but I don't have the time to put it together. So if for some reason they don't do it, it probably just won't get done!

I'm not doing a shower or bachelorette party or anything so this is literally the ONLY thing I've asked them to do :)

Hi Brides!

My wedding date is 8/24/15 @ the suites! We are all super excited and can't wait! I believe I have a lot of things done. However I was going to use The photographer / videographer at the venue but the reviews weren't great. Does anyone know of a photographer in Jamaica that is awesome?

Also, did anyone have a group of less than 20? How does that work in terms of reception locations?

My plans are going great! I just found this site today, I wish I found it a lot sooner. I do know that emailing the coordinator at this venue is very nerve-wracking because I feel like you wait for days to get a response. Your wedding is 113 days away? Are you super excited yet?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
