2015 Iberostar Rose Hall Suite Bride

Recommended Posts

@@NenaRoss u can't get any more reasonable than Godfrey TRUST ME....let him know you or your family is Jamaican as well. He also knows the resort inside out. He's very upfront about what can and can't be done. Example I told him my budget and I requested a certain type of flower. He told me it would cost me too much but then sent me flowers that looked just as nice for cheaper

I know u get upgraded one room category so if u have an oceanfront room they will upgrade u to presidential suite if available. ....praying we get it I heard it's absolutely beautiful

Oh @@budgetbride2015 that is interesting about the 3 might minimum. I actually was checking prices on kayak (just to make sure our deal was still best) and it wouldn't show me prices for 2 nights. That must be why! I wonder if the local Jamaican's can book 2 nights directly with the hotel. That would be fine since it would be outside of our group. We do also have 2 single rooms so far, so I hope they count!

We don't have anyone staying 3 nights yet, but it is possible. Since our wedding is on a Thursday they could come Wednesday - Saturday. I hope they don't!

As for decor, we're keeping it pretty simple. I'm going to bring turquoise chair sashes for the ceremony/reception chairs. I plan to just do some candles on the tables and framed table numbers - maybe a table runner - but that is it! We aren't doing a bridal party or I would use the bouquets as centerpieces. It would be nice to have some lighting and what not, but our crew is going to have a blast no matter what and they won't remember those details so we're trying not to go broke on them!

Great, thanks @@budgetbride2015. My fiance's dad and cousin at least will book locally - but we have others who may want to split their time with family. Do you know if to book through the resort you just have to be a Jamaican citizen? Or do you have to live there?

@@budgetbride2015 no problem! I've always gotten a response from. Loreto within 2 days. When my TA emails the response tends to be quicker ;)

we booked Misha Earle! Super excited, her photos are gorgeous and prices are reasonable. And she covers the vendors fees!

Prob gonna stick with the resort florist and DJ if we need one.

Still undecided about private reception. Renting out the restaurant plus adding the cost of DJ and having to bring extra decor is a lot of extra money we didn't want to spend. Plus we don't know if we'll meet the guest minimum for that.

There's an option to rent out the Mango Walk Disco for 2 hrs before it opens to the public and the fee includes the DJ and open bar! I just need to find out if there's any seating in there....it'll be awkward to just have everyone standing around.

I wish I could post pics of ideas I've found for chair decor but I don't think I've met the post minimum for that yet :(

You'll have to tell us how your wedding is since you're before us!

@@budgetbride2015, OMG  Thanks sooo much! You were right Godfrey's accent is pretty thick but worth it!!!  Ladies, if you aren't wanting all of the hassle that comes with trying to design your wedding, bringing everything on the plane, etc.etc.etc think about Godfrey, he is amazing times 10.  Plus he doesn't mind picking up the phone and calling you if he has an idea.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
