2015 Iberostar Rose Hall Suite Bride

Recommended Posts

This is what happens when you read to many posts in a day.....I almost switched my wedding location to the Royalton resort.... CRAZY ....It's so beautiful and its new (opened in 2013) but then i realized that 1. My fiance will leave me..lol! 2. It's so new that they don't have the experience our coordinators have 3. We know what we are getting because ppl have actually gotten married and shared their experience with us...with that said DON'T read any reviews once you have your date booked ...lol! Ok i'm back. :D  :D :D  :D  :D  :D

what packages did you guys decide on? At first i chose the cheapest package and then added on from there but the more expensive one turned out to be only $75 more once i added in everything (cocktail hour, steel band, etc) and that's all included with the highest package and you get a couples massage with it.....

Planning is starting to feel real now. My bridal reveal party is in 2weeks. I'm going out to pick out items for them today (I have a party for everything ;) ) I'm also having a logo designed to scan onto our OOT tote bags. I know its a little over 12 months away but I'm in school, expecting and have a teen so it will be here before the new baby starts walking ..LOL!!!

@@budgetbride2015 wow you have a lot going on! Where are you getting the logo done to put onto your bag? I am trying to see what the cheapest option is. I read a review online where a girl got a design from online and ironed it onto the bag.

@@helenk too much. This is why men are not included in the planning process. I asked my FI to ask his friend how much he charges to design a logo. He instead told him what we wanted, gave him all the info... his friend started working on it and when I inquired about the price that's when he asked him..so $75 ... I could of gotten my sister to do for free....not as nice of course but within my budget....Lol

@BUDGETBRIDE205 @@helenk THERE'S ALOT OF FREE TEMPLATES ON HERE. I  HAVE SEEN LOGO'S MONOGRAMS WATER BOTTLE LABLES PROGRAMS AND SO MUCH MORE. NO NEED TO PAY FOR EXTRA STUFF IF YOU'RE ALREADY PAYING FOR THE WEDDING IN MY OPINION.

HEY LADIES,

Have any of you tried to make payments towards your wedding. I wanted to be payed off by December but Loreto suggested that I don't start sending  any funding in 2015 due to accounting purposes.

I went with the middle packaged but will be going up to the highest package and depending on the guest amount a private dinner. @@budgetbride2015

I haven't made any payments just the initial deposit. We are still saving. I would just put all the wedding money in one account and when it comes time to pay just make one lump payment if that works for you. I'm going to open a savings account just for the wedding fund. I am doing the gold package as well. I'm waiting to get a final guest count to decide if I want to pay extra for a private reception. I figure if we have enough people the semi private will feel private anyway since we will be taking up most of the restaurant, lol.

I haven't started making payments yet. From my understanding you can pay towards it in advance but i would hold off only because you might be able to do somethings without actully paying for it (like a free cocktail party, or welcome party) depending on your guest count and what the WCs suggest. I know i've read where brides hosted a meet and greet at the music bar for free instead of paying for a private set up

Also check to see if you can put all the money on a card that doesn't charge an international fee. When i made the deposit i was charged $7/$12 for the deposit. If the wedding is going to cost me over 4grand i don't even want to know the fee my bank will charge

@@budgetbride2015 oh that's weird I didn't get any weird charges when I paid my deposit via debit card. Yea I'm def waiting until like right before to pay for everything so I don't pay for stuff we don't end up needing or using.

@@budgetbride2015 I also read about the free welcome party. I plan to ask the WC about that when we start communicating directly with her :)

Now he says he talked to accounting and I can.

Yes, I have ready that ppl have had welcome parties by the bar, Nothing that was actually setup by the hotel. From my understand if its coordinated with the hotel there will be a fee involved.

@@jennifernoel1 pretty much....I was going to do a beach welcome party with a national bar for 2 hours but definitely going the free music bar route if we can. ....I believe it's offered when the bar is usually closed and they pull a bartender to serve your guests

Also I'm trying to decide if I should just have everyone book on their own through the travel agent or get a room block. .....with the room block we would have to pay the deposit upfront for the rooms any thoughts @@helenk @@jennifernoel1

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
