Hello Denise!

I took a brief tour of this resort in May (it was full so I couldn't get photo's of the room categories) but I did get a couple of the wedding gazebos and I met with the wedding coordinator. She was extremely sweet and seemed to genuinly want the best experience for her guests!

The Sunset Jamaica Grande ones are about the 5th page in!

Hi Denise,

I am getting married at Sunset Jamaica Grande on 11th April 08 and so far everything is going well. Esther the wedding coordinator seems to be really helpful and has answered any questions i have thrown at her. I see its April you are looking at? maybe i'll see you there.

Hi Denise,

We are getting married at 11am as I am a bit of a traditionalist and dont want to see my future husband until we get married, and as we have children 6,8,11 (who would be inpatient) we thought it would be a long time to wait if we wanted a sunset wedding.

We're not sure if we will get married in the gazebo in the gardens or actually on the beach, Esther the coordinator has said that she will show us round the day after we arrive and we can choose then.

Its nice to know that someone else is getting married in the same location whilst we are there.

How are your plans coming on?

I have ordered my dress but struggling with flowergirl dresses as I dont want to order too early in case the girls grow.

Look forward to seeing your next post.

HI,

How manyy people do you have going to you wedding? What package did you choose? They have advertisied this Free Wedding packages but the # they list is a fax #, so my travel agent is going to check into it. I was concerened because thye have different packages but then they charge $25 per person to just watch the wedding.

You said you have 3 children boys or gilrs, both? I have a 15 yr old son COlby and my daughter Kylie is 12 she was excited to see you have an 11 year old..

I have my dress and my daughter dress already, it went pretty smooth. I just need to get the alterations done.

I read the last trip advisors and was getting nervous on some the the posts.,. guess I should not worry..

Talk again soon..

Hi denise,

There are 8 of us in total. I think I can remember reading somewhere that you can have up to six people watching your wedding for free that would be included in the basic package. We have just gone for the basic package but added a photographer, a few extra flowers and hair & make up. I have e-mailed the wedding co-ordinator direct, let me know if you haven't got her e-mail address.

My daughter will be 11 in february, Dave's daughter will be 8 and his son will be 6. I have my dress ordered and have bought simple light weight ivory party dresses for the girls. I have no idea what the men will wear.

My daughter was also excited to know that there will be someone of her age going at the same time.

Its getting so close now, as soon as christmas is over, time will fly so quick.

Take Care, Speak soon

Mandie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
