Sent wedding coordinator my guest list for group reservations.

Waiting to hear back from WC so I can print my wedding day itinerary to go in the OOT bags... We've been counting down for awhile now but it's becoming real for me now! :o

Hey everyone! So happy I found this thread during my lunch break - although it means I've been much less productive this afternoon ;)

I was wondering if anyone knows who the hotel photographers and DJ are?  We were looking at the pricing last night and I'm trying to do some research as to whether or not we should book outside services.

Thanks!  So happy to find a connection with so many other brides!

I'm not sure who the hotel photographers are but I know DJ mania works thru the WC there...I'm not really sure how any of it works yet

Sounds good! We'll have to keep each other posted as we find out more. My partner is supposed to submit all our paperwork to reserve our date tomorrow, so we should start finding out more soon :)

Keep in mind that you get more for your money when you use outside vendors for some thing such as photographer, videographer, flowers, etc.  We used www.thememory-factory.com as our photographer which was amazing.  He photographed the entire day of the wedding. I would say a good 10 hours as opposed to what the resort may offer which is usually 4-5 hours.  It was less stressful because you know you are the only wedding they have for that day.  You can negotiate and they tend to be more reasonable. We reserved a night at the resort to avoid the vendor fees and it worked out perfectly.

Also for favors, I found www.dominicanfavors.com which have pretty much everything you may need and they deliver to your venue just as long as it's in Punta Cana or Bavaro.

@@JoWil JoWil was the venue's DJ expensive?

I have ten days before my wedding date and now it seems I'm reconsidering things just to have a back up plan. We plan on playing music on my iphone through Wedding DJ since we know the type of music we like, but now I'm wondering if we should do a DJ.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
