Hi!!   I am a June 2014 bride.  My fiancée and I are getting married on June 8th at Now Sapphire in Riviera Maya.  I am starting to plan out all of the little fun details now and am really enjoying myself.  I booked my hotel stay and my honeymoon at another resort in a nearby location.  I just sent out my save the dates a few weeks ago and only have about 20 ppl booked so far but a lot of our friends are telling us they will book right after Christmas.

Hey fellow June brides!!

I'm getting married in Riu Negril June 2014 and having an AHR soon after. I'm just getting to planning and I feel like there's so much to do. I thought it would be simple since its I'm having an informal destination wedding ceremony but there's much more to it than I expected

Does anyone feel like June 2014 is right around the corner?  When are you ladies sending out your invitations and what should be the time line on them (RSVP deadline)?  I have an appointment on Saturday with someone to make my invitations but I thinking they will be ready in by the 1st/2nd week in February.  What is everyone else doing?  I can't get answers from my resort about when they need a headcount or if they need to know who is eating what.

@@GingerJ228 yes! I feel like it's right around the corner! I am probably sending my invitations out early march and asking for a response by May 1st . I think we need to give resort final headcount 1 month before the wedding when we submit our wedding planning sheet. Since everyone bokoed their rooms already I will have a good idea of who is attending so I figure two months to RSVP is more than enough time. I might even try to get it back mid April instead.

As for entrees I think when you get there you need to have the table cards deliniated in two different colors for the two entrees you can chooce then you have to give the resort the seating chart and tell them that everyone with pink table cards is one entree and anyone with green table cards is the other entree. The other brides on forum have said it's really simple. That's what I'm planning on doing.

Hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
