Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: July 2014 Bride (FLOWERS?!?!)

Recommended Posts

Hello Brides and Future Brides!

Flower question:

Has anyone used an outside vendor for flowers?? If so how did that work? I saw a post one time from a bride who got her bridal party flowers from an outside vendor and her parents picked them up? It was like half the cose I believe?? The hotel vendor is obviously going to be more expensive so I am looking for options! How would I use an outside vendor for the reception flowers? Do I pay the fee for them to come on the grounds or will the coordinator set them up?

Any and all info regarding flowers would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Alyssa

You will have to find the vendor youself and make arrangements for pickup or drop off. I don't think their wedding coordinator will help set anything up since they have a contract with a florist.

Thanks rntobe, Yeah I figured I'd have to work with the vendors myself I was kinda wondering how the reception flowers would work coming from an outside vendor. Like do I set them up myself? Lol. If any brides have worked with outside vendors for flowers please respond! Thanks :)

Hi @@caboready2014,

Yes! I talked with Alina (the hotel vendor) she was very nice and responded very quickly! I also emailed a outside Vendor and she gave me quotes for pretty much half of the hotels prices ($35 for bouquets). I think this would be easy for the wedding party flowers but I am hesitant about how the center pieces would work?! I need to email her back to ask about that.

When is your wedding??

@AlyssaD21  Hey there. I'm also getting married at the Riu Palace. Do you have the contact info for the wedding coordinator? I have a few questions I wanted to ask them and I have no idea who to reach out to.

Thanks and I hope everything is going well with your planning. Would love to hear the details of what you have planned out!!! I'm not really sure what to do. All I've done is my Save the Dates.

@@caboready2014 Nice! I'll make sure to give you details when I get them! My hair dresser/makeup lady is actually one of my friends who will be at the wedding so I get to check that off!

Also- we are bringing our photographer as well!!! We found it to be cheaper to pay for her flight, hotel and transportation as opposed to hiring someone in Cabo.

@@MelissaH113 Congrations on your upcoming wedding! I am not in contact with the coordinator since she wont reach out until 2-3 months before but when I confirmed my date I was sent an email with check list, menus and some other info. If you send me your email i can forward that to you. When is your wedding? I actually did not do save the dates since we knew day and hotel early on. So I just sent out invitations to give people as much time as possible to make it. I honestly havent done too much in regards to the wedding reception because I cant order until I have a head count! So i'm just working on things not affected by guest list. Looking on this website and pintrest is a great place to start!

I am not a very stressed person to begin with but I must say I feel like I've heard nothing but good things and I'm sure they are pro's at getting everything together in those couple months. They do tons of weddings! lol So im just excited and not worried =)

Also sorry about taking so long to respond! I always thought I got an email when I was mentioned in something. Guess I'm used to Facebook and IG haha. Feel free to email me if you would like... alyssa.murphy21@yahoo.com

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
