@@pddcmc I actually found the name of the videog - grupo JCM or something (it's in the current FAQ section on their site). They used to go with Cancun wedding video but that was years ago. I still can't find examples though!

@@Wedding2014 Mexican night is every Saturday and every Wednesday is Caribbean night. It surrounds the activity pool and they have live music throughout. Oceana is pushed back though, behind the seaside grille, so I think you should be ok. I can send you pics of Mexican night if you want to see the extent!

Yes please send!!! I'm having doubts but I'm sure they wouldn't offer areas for the reception if it wasn't a good choice !

FutureMrs.2014, I would think you'd have to choose which beach prior to the wedding. Unless there are no beach weddings for the date you guys choose and it's open. I haven't met anyone getting married the same date as me (Aug. 16th), yet, but we already chose North Beach. Have you heard from you WC?

Hi Ladies! Just joined and already feel so much better reading through some of these questions and answers!

 

We finished and sent out our invitations a couple months back and are getting our final RSVPs in right about now. We DIYed our invitations... they were a passport invitation with a boarding pass RSVP card. I've gotten non-stop compliments about them and it feels so good to have people excited!

@ppdcmc, yes, my beach has been confirmed with my WC. I am getting married August 16th and my WC contacted me April 23rd letting me know she is our WC and sent some information, as well. I was told I wouldn't hear from a WC until 3 months prior as well.

So I just happened to check the prices on the website for wedding packages. I already booked the Dreams of Love wedding package a few months ago at the $2499 price but now I see the prices went up. I emailed David to see if they will honor the price at which I signed the agreement but he hasn't responded yet. Does anyone know the answer?

Hi ladies! I just was emailing with my wedding coordinator. I know this question came up in one of the postings. The difference between the North beach and South beach is that the South beach is bigger. The North beach is more private.

I am excited to join the forum. My wedding is November 1, 2014 at the Gazebo. I am looking forward to our special day. Save the Dates were sent early and all guest are almost finished paying on their trip. My WC is Ayahamint.

 

I am hoping to receive great information from you guys about your planning process and your experience with your wedding.

Hello girls:

just wanted to let you know that i was in Cancun last week and i had the chance to inspect the hotel. The resort is absolutely beautiful. If you chose this hotel for your wedding, be sure your guest and you are going to love everything about it. Unfortunately the hotel was completely full and we didnt have the chance to check the rooms but the common areas are beautiful. The gazebo is prettier in person and it's really close to the beach. If you want privacy, choose the North Beach. The south beach is bigger but less private but if you are planning a reception right on the sand, definitely do it there. I would choose Oceana for the reception if you don't have that many ppl but there is a terrace but Oceana which is reaaaaally nice too. I wasn't in love with the closed restaurant options for the weddings, but probably because i always pictured my wedding in an open space by the beach, but they are nice. There is one of the restaurants (i believe is portofino) that has a private salon, really small, with a great selection of wines, and this area is really nice for a rehearsal dinner maybe with your immediate family?

Anyway, im not doing my wedding here but i took some pics if anyone is interested just message me.
