Dreams Riviera Cancun 2014 Brides

I am sure that Dreams Riviera Cancun is not being sold. From what I could tell it's only the Cancun & Puerto Vallarta ones which I read about on Travel Weekly :-) I keep in touch with a number of staff there who are attending our wedding this August. A lot of brides have switched to this hotel from Dreams Cancun because of the sale. Hope this helps!

Dreams Riviera Cancun (Puerto Morelos) will continue to be an AMR Resort. Dreams Cancun (Cancun) has been bought by Hyatt and will be the Hyatt Zilara.

Who is hiring an outside photographer?

Who is it?

Are you paying an outside vendor fee? If so, how much is that?

I'm struggling with this. I keep going back and forth to determine if I should hire off resort due to their rising photography prices! At this point, I would rather give the money to someone else because I don't like them raising the prices as ridiculously as they have been. :/

I hired an outside photographer from cancun Dean Sanderson and he was great. We did have to pay the outside vendor fee. It was $150 but I think it was totally worth it.  If you are using a package like Ultimate, you cannot get a credit for the photographer, only use him on whatever you want. I ended using him to shoot pictures at the cocktail hour of the guests.

Hey girls!! I'm thinking of wedding colors and can decide if I want

 

1. all my girls in navy with royal blue MoH...? Keeping my decor navy and white?

 

 

 

 

 

2. Or keep the girls in all royal and my MoH a lighter blue r and keeping my decor navy and white? Will that be too many colors?

Hi brides!

 

I'm new to this forum but have been reading for a couple months as I was deciding where to get married. We booked at DRC for May 2015 and am so excited! For brides that have gotten married there before, or those that may know, the table decorations for the reception (I am having it on the pool terrace) seem scarce. What did everyone take to decorate? Centerpieces? Table runners? Chargers? 

 

Also, I was originally planning to use the Adventure photographers because according to the 2014 Budget Planner I was originally sent they didn't seem too expensive but the 2015 are much higher for photographers. Does anyone have any recommendations for a budget friendly but professional photog? Thanks so much!
