Would love my mom (and dad), who has breast cancer to be at our Cozumel 3/1/14 wedding who live in Clearwater, Florida.

My fiancee and I are getting married on March 1, 2014, in Cozumel, Mexico, as that is our favorite place in the world.  My mom just went through a stint of radiation, and chemo for her breast cancer...after a partial mastectomy.  My parents will be in Clearwater, Florida when we get married.  My parents...who my dad, worked hard everyday of his life, had to retire early from being a New York State Corrections Officer as he encounter several heart attacks.  My mother, who is a diabetic, has Melanoma (skin cancer), had brain surgery several years ago, worked as a house cleaner for doctors and lawyer. To keep herself busy she volunteers at our local fire company in the Ladies Auxiliary, and also works as an Election Inspector come voting time.  My mom has done all sorts of odd jobs (she also caters!!!  She is a great cook) after her job shut down at a drug rehabilitation center.  After my parents paid for the co-pays, medications and various trips daily to and from chemo/radiation for my mom's recent encounter with breast canceer, my parents funds seemed to be tapped out.  A month ago, they got a call, that their mobile home in Clearwater, had a flood (the pipe broke) and everything had to be taken out and re-done.  They had to go on their instincts to trust (and pay) someone down there to do the work, as my mom's doctors were all up here and they could not make a trip down there to asses the damage. To add to the stress, they had no insurance to cover it, as no insurance company would pick it up.

Is there anything out there to help with my parents come and see me get married?  Discount airline tickets (they will be in Clearwater, Florida)...shuttle airlines that go to Cozumel?  Discount hotels?  Anything?

I would love my parents to be there and so would they.

Thank you for any information!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
