Thanks @Potter8- this helps out alot. are you having a welcome dinner when your guest arrives. If so do you have to pay for the meals per person or is it included with each guest all-inclusive deal

Is there anyone getting married dierectly at the Royalton? I've been talking to Laura about prices for things, and they are so over priced for everything. The are double and trip the cost for flower arrangements. I got a quote from a nearby florist and it's a fraction of the cost but I have to pay almost $500 fee just to bring the flowers into the resort. It's ridiculous. I'm so discouraged. Smh :(

I am getting married at the resort but I haven't talked to Laura about prices recently. I wonder if she would be willing to send a copy of the contract if it has prices listed. My plan is wedding 5pm , semi-private dinner ,some type of reception with music not sure yet. But I am only bringing less than 20 people.

@@DWBride2015 I haven't asked her about a welcome dinner yet.

My last e-mail to her was a week ago to ask for an official price quote on everything I've chosen so far and she hasn't responded yet.

I plan to ask if the semi-private reservation included in the wedding packages can be used for a welcome dinner, since I'm paying to have a private reception instead on my wedding day.

Hi everyone,

My date is May 3 and like many of you just finding out about the hidden costs. My group right now is about 50 people with the majority coming from Philadelphia. I used Destination Weddings to coordinate the travel and I really don't have anything nice to say about them right now. I have also been dealing with Laura. I haven't decided which package I'll go with yet mostly because the the new packages are more expensive and you get less. She emailed me yesterday that the price per person outside of the package of 20 people will be $20 pp. That covers the chair, cake, and sparkling wine toast. She did also say the menu prices were gonna drop as well. I'm glad to finally find a community of Royalton Brides. Congratulations to everyone.

@@KaDeidra262 She didn't mention anything to me about lowering menu prices! If she sends you a new menu, would you mind sharing? :)

This process is getting frustrating. I have to agree with @@Soon2bMrsClark, the flower prices are far too high.

But, I just read this review, which may ease your minds a little:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
