Royalton Punta Cana 2014

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies, I am seriously considering this resort for our 2015 wedding. However, I haven't been able to find much info online, especially pictures. Does anyone have any pictures or pricelists (besides the standard wedding package info) they could send me? My email is cherylk1234@@gmail.com.

Thank you so much! :)

@@Potter8...i have over 60 guests, and the only extras i got was the extra tier on my cake and half price for the children that will be attending. I am hosting a Welcome party ($15 pp). I opted to host this in close proximity to a bar, that way I wouldnt have to pay $25pp for open bar for my guests. I havent paid for my package yet because I'm still trying to negotiate some things. I am not pleased with what they have had to offer at this point.

My wedding is officially all paid for. The only "deal" I was offered was a $30 credit towards my bouquet as I didn't choose one that was included in my package. I'm hoping that once I get on site and meet the wedding planner I can negotiate a little more.

I forget who is using vacation expression but my travel agent told me that a welcome reception is included for Groups. I think it would be great if everyone added cost after you have sent your payment off. I definitely will do this my payment is due may 12th

I am planning to do the same thing as you.  Wedding at Jellyfish and having the guests stay at the Royalton.  Did the Royalton do anything special for you in terms of having a complimentary welcome party or dinner rehearsal?  what were your room rate quotes per night per person?

thanks!!!

Can you also send me prices for Royalton- timairee.s.sutton@@gmail.com

Hey Ladies,

I'm a travel agent here in Canada. I am planning a wedding for myself May 2015 and thought it would be a good idea to see the most popular Punta Cana wedding venues for not only myself but for my future brides. I just got back yesterday from Punta Cana. I went with a bridesmaid to check out resorts and venues. I stayed at Memories, Royaltons sister property (Royalton was fully booked) for 4 days and stayed at Now Larimar for 3 days. I did a site visit at Jellyfish, Kukua and Huracan. If you have any questions I may be able to answer them. Even after seeing all these properties and what they have to offer I'm still not 100% sure which one I am choosing but I did definitely eliminate some options after seeing the wedding locations and witnessing some weddings.

Let me know if you have any questions!

@@Mrsoats...Could you provide feedback for the Royalton?

Unfortunately we did not stay at the Royalton but I did do a site visit of the area plus some of the facilities were shared with Memories so hopefully i can give you a decent idea...

The resort is very modern and beautiful, beach was very nice. The beach wasn't too crowded though the spots with shade were always taken. We showed up at the beach around 845am so I'm not sure how early you need to go for shade. The only restaurant Memories guests were allowed to use was their casual beach buffet. The food there was excellent. I did manage to have a dinner at the steakhouse because if I do my wedding at Royalton that would be the menu I would choose so the manager allowed me. I was floored by the food at this restaurant. I swear the filet mignon I had was better than any Keg or Ruth Chris filet I've had before! Honestly I couldn't stop talking about that entire meal all week. The service was excellent! So friendly and everyone had a smile on their face. They showed me their cheapest room and it was very nice, I know my guests would be happy with it (no tub though, need to upgrade).

Regarding ceremony locations... They have the Beach gazebo. Very nice but be prepared for at least 100 half naked people standing 3 feet from you while you say your vows. That gazebo is the main walkway onto the beach. Very pretty though if you don't mind an audience! They have their other gazebo near the lobby. This was personally my favourite though still not quite private. Again it is the main walkway to the pool and beach from the lobby and they said they cannot close it for the ceremony. I would say that this was more private though than the beach. Now they are currently building as we speak their third gazebo. I had a peek from a far. It is located between the Memories and Royalton. This will definitely be the most private location because there are doors you need to walk through and then the gazebo is in a clearing in their little jungle they have. Its kind of like a lagoon in some areas with water so my only concern with this location would maybe be mosquitoes?

For reception my two favourite private locations was that area in the center of the resort were ceremonies can take place. And second favourite location would be a terrace area between the two pools right by the beach. Its covered with that white tent they have in a few of the areas of the resort which I'm sure you have all seen in photos.

Let me know if I missed anything!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
