Royalton Punta Cana 2014

Recommended Posts

Yes! I've spoken to Laura in extreme detail! She's been good answering everything. You will have to pick a wedding package - there's three tiers to chose from. We're going with the DREAM tier with has the most options - like mani/pedi, bouquets, musician at the cocktail hour etc. It's pretty cool.

The reception can be done in various restaurants. (Grazie, Steak House, Meditterean restaurant) A totally private reception is available too BUT you will have to pay for the food. It's an average of $110/person for buffet and $85/person for a 3 course meal. So on top of your wedding package price which is around $2000 you will have to pay for everyones dinner too at the private reception. So for 40 people, the sit down dinner will be $3400 on top of your already $2000 wedding package! So be careful of the hidden costs.

Centrepieces are averging around $180/ea. The most expensive ones I saw were $400.

If you want the resorts photographer its free to have him onsite but if you have another photographer in Punta Cana there is a $450 vendor fee to have him just on the premise!

I've only really discussed flowers as decoration so far but anything is possible just expect a pretty hefty cost!

Hope that helps!

Oh thank you for the information!!!!! Where did you get the breakdown for the center pieces? I saw on the a la cart menu it said it started from $40 and up.

I picked the dream package also. I think that only included the photographer for an hour.

Hello everyone, can you upload the brake down of the prices to the forum. I think I'm the only 2015 bride on here but I'm glad to see more people booking with Royalton Resort. all those hidden fees was the main reason I was thinking about having my wedding at jellyfish, a lot of people say the price works out better having it at the jellyfish. No extra vendor fees and the plate cost per person is cheaper as we'll.

Hi everyone!  My fiance and I will be heading to Royalton on April 7th with over 40 guests for our wedding.  Just a little over 2 months away!!!!

Even though we are getting marry at Jellyfish, we are still planning to get ready at Royalton.  I may not have much to contribute to the wedding questions, but I will try to have a review of the resort and our group experience.

@@KevinY - Not sure if this is too late to respond back to your question.  Majority of our guests are also flying from Toronto, and a few guests from Asia as well.  We have a travel agent that we work with, so it makes the process a lot easier.  Unfortunately, Royalton is exclusive to Sunwing only in Canada, and because Sunwing doesn't fly direct from Vancouver, so one of our friends couldn't join us.  That may be the same case for Calgary, you may have to find another flight from Calgary to a city that flies direct to Punta Cana.

Happy Planning!

Unfortunately I only have a .pdf file of the Private Dining Menu. The cheapest dinner menu is there $85/person. You can call Laura and she can forward it to you pretty quickly.

The centrepiece document was a powerpoint slideshow also provided by Laura. The prices were from $180 - $400 which is crazy cos my DREAM package says Standard Centrepiece - $45/ea and Premium - $68/ea is included. So I need to clarify with Laura what she can provide me for say $45 - $68/each. Because $180 is crazy! :P

Some of the prices seem really far off to me ... $600 to put fabric on a gazebo with two floral arrangements. I plan on having the semi private meal but I have a smaller group. I think the price for jellyfish works out if you have a larger group.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
