Hey everyone,

Just wanted to get your opinion on who you used or are going to use for Photography for your wedding. We have gotten prices from the resort photo center but before booking, what to know what you girls/guys think.

Any suggestions on how to go about looking for the right person/company to use.

Thanks sooooo much!!!

Hey Lisa,

I just got married November 19, 2013 at the paradisus punta cana. I hired HDC photography because I wasn't satisified with the resort photographer/packages. They were amazing, the pictures were breathtaking and all of our guests couldn't get over how awesome they all turned out! The only thing I regret was not hiring them longer to stay for the reception! MIlan was our photographer, he was great and captured all of our precious moments!

Perfect!! It is so hard to googling photographers in Punta Cana, not much come up.

For HDC, aside from paying for their services, did you just have to pay the day/night pass for them to come on the resort.

How much did it cost (ball park range), if you dont mind me asking?

Had our Wedding in June 2013. We have used a photographer from the resort to avoid any external vendor fees (Which was around $1000). We were little scared in the begging and felt like we had no choice. But after seeing the final work we were relieved. They did such an amazing job. We were extremely happy.

Ya i did alot of research before i booked a photographer. At the paradisus punta cana, there is a $1000 fee if you use an outside vendor. But you can waive this fee if you pay for them as a guest at the hotel for 3 nights, which was $600, so i saved $400. Other resorts don't have this fee so i believe you would have to cover the day/night pass.

Hey!! I contact HDC to get the price list.

How much time would you have liked to of has them off? I was looking at the 4 hour package.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!

The package I booked with them was for 6 hours and I also chose to have the videographer for the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. So they were there until the reception but I wish I would've paid them more to stay longer! Hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
