Calling all Sandals Brides!

Recommended Posts

I have made some great connections on BDW!  I Love all my new friends.  There just seems to be a lack of Sandals Brides out there.  I am getting married next October at Halcyon in St. Lucia.

I just had my first phone call with my WC yesterday - it was good.  Got some questions answered, which was good.

I'm just finding myself to be very indecisive with everything wedding!

Anyone else feeling this way?

Hope to make some new Sandals Friends :)

Hahah Hey girl.   It went well!   She pretty much had a script that she was going through.  So she would tell me about how something usually works - then ask what my plans were regarding that certain thing.   I had a whole list of questions to ask her but she pretty much covered everything in her script.   I did still have a couple of questions that I was able to ask at the end.    There was lots of info she said she would be email me so that I can take a closer look at some of the things we talked about - I haven't gotten any emails yet.  She said we will have a follow up call (but we didn't pick a time/date for this)   and said that I will be able to email her any time I need to.

Yes it definitely help having them all written down... even for the ones she answered without me asking .. all I had to do was write the answer and I could keep up!

I had my first phone call with WC end of aug. I felt like it went well and she didn't try and push us to purchase anything we didn't need. We are eloping so we are having no guests..but I still wanted to plan something special. I still have some odds and ends to tie up but overall I feel like things are moving right along! The only things I have left to book are sandals photography for ceremony (going with cheapest pkg bc I hired an offsite photog to take us all over for 3 hours after our ceremony and ending with TTD at sunset!) and the candlelight dinner after we come back from photos!

I love them all... If I was going to pick one I would go with Island Paradise.. but when I made all the changes I'm not really doing any of them.

I am making my own brooch/flower bouquet, I like the Bamboo with Tangerine Fabric for the ceremony structure, I haven't decided on what table lines I like,  I want cupcakes so I'm not sure if each one will just have a little flower or something on it.  Um and I can't remember what else I have decided on yet.

Are you doing a private reception dinner?

I'm changing some items from the seaside serenade package. I liked the island paradise as well but i figured it was easier for me to stick to starfish and seashells theme. Yes we are doing the private reception dinner. Did you discuss with your WC on how much it would cost per person?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
