Our resort was too pricey to rent decor so we're going to do a few diy's and paying the extra luggage fees. :) Have you been to your resort before? We're going to honeymoon in Costa Rica in 2015 but haven't picked a resort yet.

I'm starting to feel that way too but I'm wondering how much time I'll actually have to DIY everything, I will give it some more thought.

Yes I went to visit with FI in July for a short trip to see the resort after we decided on CR. It's an AI, I just think it's easier for a wedding. But for your honeymoon I feel like you should look at other options, many beautiful boutique hotels too. I've never been to CR before the site visit, partly why we chose it. Friends all love it though and would recommend not doing AI, but it also depends on what you like, if you don't mind exploring on your own or having everything easily ready, not sure if that helps at all!

Lol don't worry... I def felt the same. I ended up paying the crafty vendors on Esty.com to make some of mine. I'm still on the fence on if I want to make my own petal aisle runner or making my own..... Yay!!! Thanks for the advice.... I'll defintely check out the boutique hotels for our honeymoon We felt the same about all inclusives for a wedding. It's very difficult to plan a wedding and also feel like you need to entertain guests and worry about their meals. How many guests are you expecting?

Wow!! 80-100 is amazing, that's wonderful to hear. It'll be one big party! That does make things very difficult in the bringing extra stuff category. Unless you travel with a bunch of people who are willing help you carry some things. Do you plan to do OOTs and favours?

Well, that's the other thing, I'm thinking about everything and all the things I would like to do, but it's difficult because I'm having a rather large DW, I'm expecting 80-100 guests and I'm really hoping it doesn't go over 100. Will be having an AHR too for parents and family.
That's my wedding group size, too. What resorts are you thinking of?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
