Hello! So I'm getting married very soon and a few things came to mind, that I hadn't thought of before. How is the dinner usually done after the ceremony? The entire family will go eat together afterwards, so how do we make a non-awkward exit for our honey moon night? How do people usually leave dinner to go to their room when they're all at the same hotel? Do we have to stay until its late and other people start to go to their rooms? I just realized how awkward it would be.

I think a nice transition between ceremony and dinner is a cocktail hour with appetizers. Also a good time for you and husband to take pictures. It helps to have a friend MC to direct people to the next event. That way you don't have to worry about it. :-) I think traditionally the bouquet is thrown towards the end of the night and the bride and groom make a spectacle of an exit to their honeymoon night. But since you're doing a destination wedding, you don't have to be traditional at all! I am planning to have the reception end at 10:30pm and the older family members can go to bed and the rest of us will hit the town (if its not on a remote island with no night life.) It will be a long day for you too so no one will blame you if you want to hit the sack early. The great thing about DW's is that you get to see your guests all week.

I'm doing the same. I don' think it will awkward at all. Everyone knows it your honeymoon. So I would think everyone would understanding when you and your new hubby decide you're ready to retreat to your room for some alone time. I plan on having a celebratory dinner after our ceremony and maybe (depending on how tired we are) a few cocktails with our guest then some good ole honeymoon fun with my husband

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
