Moon Dance Cliffs in Negril - any brides out there who can share your experience with the spa's hair/make up services?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I know MDC has a spa (Kamala) and I am nervous about using them for wedding day hair and make up since I can't find any reviews or photos anywhere of their work.  I am searching for someone who got married there who can share their experience with the spa's hair and make up services. Thanks in advance!  :)

Hi Carrie,

I just got back from my wedding at MDC...and let me tell you, it was amazing! The staff is fantastic, and they pulled everything together for our wedding for us perfectly. We didn't have to worry about anything at all. I actually used Rashel Edwards who is one of the best makeup artists on the island for my wedding, and she did an awesome job (she does airbrush which lasts all day). A few of my bridesmaids used her as well for hair and makeup, and some of them used the Kamala spa for their hair. I can tell you that the up-do's that Rashel and her team did, did last longer than Kamala's (which lasted all night), but Kamala also does great work, at a very reasonable price.

Hope that helps! Good luck with the rest of your planning. Trust me, you're wedding will be fantastic at Moon Dance!!

Hi Kaydee,

If you're looking for places in Negril, Moon Dance Cliffs is THE way to go. I can't imaging getting married anywhere else after our wedding. And to be honest, based on our experience, I felt like we should have paid much more for what we got. As soon as you step foot on the property, you are treated by the staff like family and they are so attentive and really take care of all of the little details for your day. We purposely gave ourselves a pretty tight budget for our wedding (we really didn't want to go broke paying for a party so to speak), and when we received our final invoice from the resort, it was actually less than we were expecting. I'm the type of person who loves a bargain, and you truly can't beat the deal you'll get at MDC. It was the best time of our lives and all of our guests had an amazing time and are planning to go back. :)

Good luck with planning. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
