Hello brides!

 

I am getting married at the Moon Palace in November. I am having a traditional Indian Sikh wedding. I could really use some feedback on the following services from the resort:

 

1. MAKE-UP AND HAIR: I am planning to use the resort salon services for hair and make-up. Does anyone have any experiences that they can share? Good? Bad? Did you bring your own make-up? What about waxing, nails, etc.? 

 

2. I am also looking for a videographer, and am considering using Ocean Photographer Studio, but am weary because I don't know if they have ever filmed an Indian wedding. Has anyone used them before? Are there any other local videographers that you recommend?

We can highly recommend our videographer, Roberto who is based here in Playa del Carmen and offers an excellent value - as seen in his work here.......Grand Riviera Princess Wedding.....

We just shot a beautiful Sikh wedding at Moon Palace last weekend. I'll be honest that our bride went to the salon and ended up leaving to do her hair and make-up herself. She got nervous because the stylist she was assigned to didn't have a hair piece to add volume to her hair and said that she would just make a few curls for her. Either way she just felt more comfortable doing it on her own! I think if you went with someone at the salon you might want to bring specific examples of Indian bridal make-up and hair styles you're after.

 

We do work with a local videographer here in Mexico who has filmed an Indian wedding. They're not on this forum but we'd be happy to connect you.

Hi mrs Singh I'm trying to gather information so I can pull Off an Indian Sikh wedding at moon palace in June 2014.. I wanted to know who is going to perform ur wedding? Are you flying someone down or is there a person in Mexico that can do it? Also for food are you using a local cancun vendor for Indian food?? Pleassse give me some insight, thankss :)

Hi and congrats!! I had the spa salon do mine and all 8 of my bridesmaids hair along with my mother in law and it turned out great!! Just bring a picture of what you want and they will makeit happen! I did not have my makeup done at the salon but from what Ive heard they do a  great job!

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
