Hey everyone, Sept. 26th is a little more than a month until my wedding day the The Royal Playa del Carmen. Im so excited but everything is getting overwhelming all over again :) We are trying to make arrangements with our coordinator and i dont really know what avenue to go with. So I'm shouting out to my bdw friends out here for some help. First, My FI and i are on a budget so, does it sound terrible to do a semi private reception? We are all very picky eaters as well, i know that sounds terrible) but that way people can choose what they want. The downfall, dinner isnt until 6 and our wedding is at 2. any suggestions on what to tell people? Also, we are skipping out on the cocktail hour as some of our guests are recovering alcoholics.. I'm so glad that these people are putting them selves under the pressure to come to the wedding regardless of the booze. We are having a huge at home reception so in my head surpassing these things is okay but i want opinions. As far a decoration goes, I have noticed a lot of people have brought some of their own. Should I? Im just a stressed out mess right now. Need everyones thoughts and opinions.. Thank you so much!!!

I'm a newbie here, but I think that it would be cheaper to at least bring some of your own decorations... You didn't say how many people have booked so far.. How many people do you think will be in attendance? I think the amount of people you have matters a lot. Are you going to do OOT bags? This forum offers so much help.. So much help.. just browse thought the forums to find things. you can start out with the forum that specifically discusses your resort. Wish I could help more hun.. Keep us posted..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
