Sorry guys!  I'm still trying to figure out how to use this thing!  I am getting married in June 2014 and looking to use Ileana as well.  It is true that it costs $3,800 and you have to put down 50% deposit to reserve the date.  You get 200 pics on CD I believe.  I am not sure if I really trust the resort's photographers.  Ileana's work looks phenomenal, but it's expensive.  

 

Has anyone on here used Ileana and have sample pics?

 

Also, I didn't know there was an option of simply playing your own Ipod during dinner/reception.  The DJ is $350 an hour!  We plan on having an extended hour reception so you're looking at $1,050.  Thoughts anyone?

As far as photographers go, we decided to try to find a photographer or friend out of South Florida and offer to pay for accomodations and airfare in exchange for photography. Sounds like a good deal to me! I know that Sandals won't allow outside photographers, but from the other posts I've read, there's nothing they can do as long as they are a paying guest of your resort. This might be something to consider. I'm from here in San Francisco too, so to find someone out here to fly out would prove to be a waste of money!

 

For entertainment we decided against a photographer and chose one of the bands to add to the beach atmosphere since we plan on having our reception on the beach as well. When it comes time for our dance and such, the band will simply stop, and we can play our ipod :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
