We're 3 months pregnant...15 months before Cabo???

Recommended Posts

Holy wow! I went from being a single mom, to planning a destination wedding, but now there's a small hiccup in the planning. We're 3 months pregnant, with 3 little girls btwn us already. Also, we just relocated from New York to West Tennessee. I admit, I'm excited but becoming overwhelmed. I don't want to change our plans for date or venue. Has anyone else juggled pregnancy and wedding planning? New baby and dress shopping? Toddlers and international travel? I would love any advice or anecdotes, but please keep pessimism out of this thread. I'm looking for ways other ladies have handled similar situations. Thanks so much!!

I don't have any suggestions or experience with pregnancy during wedding planning, but I wanted to wish you a big congratulations on the pregnancy and upcoming wedding! I can imagine how incredibly overwhelmed you are. But the good part is that, ordinarily, a destination wedding is easier to plan than a traditional wedding. The idea of a DW is to have fewer decisions to make and someone to do most of the work for you. Also, as for the dress shopping,  there are some BEAUTIFUL "beachy" wedding dresses that are flowy and less form fitting, so that might be your best since you might not know how much your body will change. Good luck with everything, and try not to stress too much! The wedding, baby, move to Tennessee....all wonderful things! cheesy.gif

Thanks ladies. I was already thinking of the pretty, flowing, empire-waist gowns that will look so elegant at a beach wedding... And hide the bits n pieces I can't work off in 8 months. Lol. It's concerning bc now we're budgeting differently and I feel like I'm changing my mind on everything from my colors to the food and length of our trip. I think I'm going to take a small step back from planning the wedding for a few months.

aww Good luck x x
Congrats on the baby what an exciting time .....I don't have an experience being pregnant and wedding planning but my FI and I have a daughter that is 18 months now and will have just turned 3 when we get married in 2015. We travelled with her to the Dominican Rep. When she was just 6 weeks old and she was the best person on the trip lol she slept there and back and out week there all she did was sleep she was in her stroller most of the time. If you will be bringing baby mske sure you over pack!!! I had milk and diapers in everyone's bags lol I didn't want to run out as its not easy to find those stuff lol I am worried about traveling with a toodler also where she will be three and I know how those personalities are lol so I need to find ideas to keep her involved in the wedding and the week spent so she's not pond off on other ppl lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
