Not sure on the circumstances or how long it'll be before she's back, but I hope she's better soon!

Claudia isn't my coordinator, Rubi is. I have heard great things about  Claudia though!

Yes, phone and email. There has been a hiccup or two, but overall she's been super helpful! We did a group rate which saved my guests about 400ish. So yeah. Plus we can do payments through their site, I sent eSTDs from the site for free, made a wedding site, and a honeymoon registry. The $50 deposit you make goes towards your trip. So it's a free service. There are others aw well. I understand the owners of this site also offer a similar service. I'd def recommend working with someone.

I just seen that you are using destinationweddings.com as your travel agent....basically is everything done over the phone? Have they helped out with deals, etc??

I don't know. The travel agent is handling all of that. I only found out it was a savings because one of my guests researched.

Did you get the group rate because you used Destinationweddings.com or is it a deal we can ask for if we are just dealing directly with Dreams?

You can get it directly as well. They give you a discounted rate and also I think every 6th room is free or something of that nature. There's also a free upgrade to one room for every X amount of rooms booked as well..... I had a quote done from their group sales person a while back, but it was too far out for me to know how many people I'd have and whatnot.

Hi everyone! I have recently booked my wedding at Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa for May 28, 2014! I am so excited!!!! I looked at so many reviews for different resorts for weddings and ultimately chose this one. Has anyone stayed at this resort before? I have read the rooms are not very nice. However, I do not think I will be staying in the room for long periods of time anyways!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
