I'm hoping for Himatsu (sp?) beach, but I think I did see a review of another location, maybe the garden? I'll keep my eye for it today and post the link if I come across it. I'm using desinationweddings (dot) com as my travel agent. I agree using an agent is the way to go! It's been so helpful!

I can't believe we are only 6 months out. It seems so far away but I know it's not. One thing I've noticed since I'm not doing a lot of extras is that I tend to forget about what I actually need to do since so much is just all done by them. I plan events for work so this hands off thing is a welcomed break but almost too much as I'm not really on top of what I need to do! Ha! So I'm finalizing invites very soon. I'm thinking it's what people need to actually book since we are expecting about 40-50 ppl and only 12 have booked hotels. And my dress seems to just be a waiting game... I should probably see when they expect that to come in!! AND I should probably email my girls about ordering their dresses! Ok sorry for that brain dump! Ha! Yay, congrats! I checked out your site, awesome job! I didn't do one outside of the wedding coordinator. They group I used also provides a website, but I think the customization is minimal compared to a regular wedding site. Can't wait to see your OOT links and progress! Are you doing any DIY projects? I've decided to do my invites (along with a bundh of other stuff)! I totally said I would not do ANY, but this site totally sucked me in. Also, I'm spening a ton of money on a photog for wedding and TTD, so I decided to try to save a bit elsewhere.

Lol, I haven't emailed mine yet, but did notice the contract even had errors in it! I shouldn't laugh, but I'm sure it'll be an adventure trying to decipher all the emails!

Is anyone else having issues with their coordinator not speaking English correctly? Mine makes no sense when she emails me

Claudia hasn't responded in like a month and a half to an email, so I emailed back again asking why..... then some assistant emailed me letting me know she was out because of an accident.... so just so you all know, she's not ignoring you. Not sure on the circumstances or how long it'll be before she's back, but I hope she's better soon!

I hope everyone had a good weekend! I'm getting more and more excited with planning, and my to-do project list is getting longer and longer! Are you ladies doing logos? I made a couple the other day. I'm working on a wedding tagline too. Idk, I guess I am kinda getting into "branding" our wedding! I've been searching this site finding tons of great ideas! (also trying to get to 150, lol) So here's my logo, slogan ideas, and a super helpful thread I found about OOT bags. LL LL Slogan: Have fun in the Sun, Play in the Sea, Make lifelong Memories -- what do you guys think? I may use a shortened version too: Sun. Sea. Your logos are great!!! I like both slogans but simple & sweet always works for me :-)

I just seen that you are using destinationweddings.com as your travel agent....basically is everything done over the phone? Have they helped out with deals,etc??

Yes it is one of my engagement pictures! :)

 

We have to do the garden because none of the beaches are handicap accessible :/

Haha well luckily my travel agent has worked with my coordinator before and she got everything straightened out for me! So confusing

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
