If photography is important to you (because really after all the rest is said n done, that's what you have left to remember your Big Day) we highly recommend that you hire a professional photographer to capture those amazing "moments that matter"!!!

Hey peeps! Didn't quite know where to land this inquiry, some "ceremony times" threads seem quite dead. Our amazing photographer to be, Gonzalo, has kindly mentioned that sunset is Around 530 in Mexico in march. Unfortunately I set our ceremony for 4pm a while back at the GSP, and there are several other weddings so no way to move our time now. However, getting pics from 430 to 530 seems very tight for bridal party pics, family pics, and couples ones. I am trying not to let myself feel like I ruined this day (yes I am feeling dramatically bad about this), but I am worries about pics. Any input on this? Suggestions on how to work around this? Much thanks ladies !

Hi MrsS!

We had a similar situation for our wedding last November - 4pm ceremony, sun set around 5:30pm. Our photog flew through the formal shots with our family & friends, and then we had plenty of time before/as the sun set for couples photos (we didn't have a bridal party).

Can you take bridal party and family pics before the ceremony? You could do them separately if you aren't planning to see MrS. before the ceremony. Then the only ones you have after the ceremony would be the combined bridal party, family, and then bride and groom. And if you're planning on a first look (which I highly recommend!!), you may be able to get a lot of the couples photos out of the way before hand.

It does require bumping back your getting-ready time, but it certainly can be done!!

Allie! Thank you very very much for your quick and helpful response. I've learned with this process that things can somehow work out, ya just gotta juggle some ideas around! And you've helped me see that:) so thank you! We will definitely look to do a first look, which I've thought about as being helpful regarding shots, and I think doing some bridal party shots individually would be great. I have no issue getting ready earlier! Plus I don't plan to need tons of time anyways:) I have emailed Gonzalo Nunez about the firm time we have, and I am also sure he will have some helpful ideas! Thanks again:):)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
