Oh cool... I will definatly get some brochures!   I will check out that website for cameras... I am adding underwater disposables to my welcome bags! Thanks

I am doing them for my guests (destination wedding to Kailua Kona, HI). Unlike other bags I've seen posted, mine are pretty cheap as I expect my guests to use them for the beach and dispose of them once they leave the island. In terms of what I'm putting in them here is what I have so far:

1. water bottles (not personalized)

2. assorted snacks - chips, etc.

3. chapstick (1 per person, up to 2 per bag)

4. sanitizing hand wipes (2 or 3 per bag)

5. Tylenol packets (2 per bag)

6. thank you card

7. brochure with places to eat, things to do, and timeline of events

8. travel size (1oz) sunscreen

9. Wet Ones regular wipes (4-5 per bag)

10. soft vinyl zip pouch (to keep the small items organized)

I purchased the bags from from Discount Mugs and it came out to less than $40 (including tax and shipping) for 50 bags. They are just plain non woven style white bags that are big enough to use as beach totes. If you click on the link, just know that the price has gone up since I purchased them (approx 3 months ago). I don't even think I'm going to personalize them.

All in all I'm spending approx $10 per bag, and that is over estimating how much snacks and water are going to cost since we are purchasing those when we get to Hawaii. I'm sure $7-$8 is a more realistic number.

We are also doing one per couple or single person. Not so much to cut down on costs, but more just to minimize the amount of stuff we will be bringing with us! Hopefully we can spread it out amongst a few of our suitcases instead of having to take an extra.

I am giving one bag per couple (just adding a little more of this and that) and one per individual. So far with my estimates I'll need to make 17 bags.
17 isn't too bad... one per couple is how I am doing it too.. some things each person will get but they will all be in one bag!

That is very smart! If I don't stop buying stuff I am going to have to rent out the whole plane Hahaha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
