Hi everyone :) 1st post!! (actually my 1st post ever on any forum...ever!)

I got engaged in February and haven't even started planning the wedding! Am I the only one who didn't pin their dream wedding on Pinterest before getting engaged??

Anyway, what I DO know is that we want a beach wedding at an all inclusive resort...somewhere! Thinking Mexico (we're from Texas) because we want to keep our guests at about $1000 (would Mexico be the best place??!)

I've been lurking on these boards a few days and the weddings and resorts and ideas are all gorgeous but I can't tell if guests costs are a main concern for anyone?

Thoughts?? I'm open to anything!! Looking forward to hearing from y'all :)

Congratulations on your engagement Tiffany!  Mexico is a great place to have a wedding at an all-inclusive.  Due to the fact that there are so many AIs, there is enough competition to provide a variety of options at different price points. A lot of people do Cancun, but depending on where you are in Texas, heading to the Pacific coast might be a better bet in terms of cheaper plane flights.  If you are considering the Caribbean, Jamaica might be another option to consider.

Personally, the prices my guests had to pay were a concern, as the only AIs that I thought would provide me with the privacy that I wanted would have been far too expensive for my guests. Thus, I picked a very reasonably priced all inclusive in Puerto Morelos, and am busing my guests out for an intimate, private wedding reception in Playa del Carmen about 30 minutes away.  I hope this helps! Again, welcome!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
