Hey!! My name is Lisa and my fiancé and I got engaged on May 24th. We have decided to get married at the paradisus in Punta Cana in November because Jan-April seemed to soon, and if we are going away - it's to get away from the Winter months since we are from Alberta, Canada. Anyone else planning a later wedding in 2014? A lot of people feel as we are planning way to ahead in advance but I don't want to miss anything. We have chosen an agency in Calgary to help with the planning and in order to get a discount the deadline to book in full is Feb 24th. Anyone else out there am Early Bird like me? Anyone have any opinions or suggestions when getting married at this resort?? Looking forward to hearing from everyone :) Lisa

Hi ladies!

My Wedding is quickly approaching!! I am getting married July 11, 2014 at PPC.   The romance team in Miami was a complete nightmare and VERY rude may I add when we first started planning. Please mention my name: Lauren Costello if you chose Theresa ... which you definitely SHOULD!

Our wedding:

Ceremony - Gazebo at 4pm

Reception - Poolsideeeee =)

My fiance and I just designed our Passport invitations! We are so excited to get them back and see all the hardwork that went into them.  I need to ask all the brides though..

WHAT WAS YOUR ITINERARY FOR YOUR GUESTS?

ANY TIPS, ADVICE ETC .. please send my way.. thanks ladies!!!

I am getting married on April 23, 2014 at NOW Sapphire in the Mayan Riviera, but stayed at PPC in November 2012 and absolutely loved it.  Actually, one of the reasons we hose NOW Sapphire was because it was a former Paradisus and we love their chain so much.  I also stayed at the Paradisus in Playa del Carmen this past January and it was wonderful.  You made a good choice.  Congrats!

Totally understand your wish to get away in winter, Lisa! (being Canadians from Alta too!) perfect combo - to combine your wedding with a tropical getaway - good thinking... and what a nice bonus for your guests too!

Hope it all turns out just the way you envision - or Even Better!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
