I am not getting married here, but I visited last year and it was an AMAZING resort!!!  Food, rooms, staff, EVERYTHING was perfect.   You ladies will not be let down by your choice of resort!

Hello...

I'm in the process of booking November 2014... Has anyone done the wire transfer for the booking fee? I was nervous about sending a picture of my credit card and license, but I'm having issues with wiring money to Jamaica. Has anyone sent the pics of credit card and license to them to book the date. Not sure if I should worry about it or not.

Hi! I gave them a copy of my VISA and ID and have had no problems whatsoever :)

Hi! Getting married at the suites feb 9, 2015!!! Looking for advice from those who went with the gold wedding package, with few upgrades! Curious, when they offer live music, is it for the ceremony or cocktail hour? And is the reception offered as part of the package, or is this an extra? Wondering if anyone used the gazebo for their wedding? Love the idea of a sunset wedding there, looking to see pics if anyone has some? Any advice would b great!!! Digipix????

Hi @@SarahWallace - Congrats! I'm jealous your wedding is in February since I have to wait until June :)  Also if you look on Jamaican photographers' websites many of them have portfolios from weddings at IRHS so you can get an even better inside look while researching photographers!  Try Sungold, Stacey Clarke, Misha Earle, etc.

 

I believe you can choose to use the live music for the ceremony or cocktail hour. The reception included is semi-private, though it sounds like most people say semi-private was still pretty private. You can pay extra for completely private, which I believe is $800. That was all in my paperwork from the resort when I signed the contract.

@@kmbowm Your wedding must be coming up! Please give us a review when you return! I feel like the Iberostar Rose Hall threads have been pretty quiet. Even though I've read so much I probably know all the answers to my questions, I want MORE anyway!

 

We have no idea how many guests we'll have so it is really hard to plan too much yet. So I live vicariously through other brides :)

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
