Recommended Posts

Hello lovely ladies, I was hoping someone here could share information on the cost of hosting a wedding at Al Cielo hotel. Has anyone gotten a recent quote or had their amazing wedding here recently? I would REALLY REALLY appreciate any information you could share with me.

Happy planning all!!!!

Hi Evy! We went to Al Cielo for a site visit last year, and I have some photos that I saved from other people's weddings there and a document they sent me. If you PM me your email I can send you what I have! Have you contacted them for their most recent pricing? Are you planning on staying at the hotel too or somewhere else?

Hi EvySF! Al Cielo is one of our favourite wedding venues, intimate, "rustic elegance", one of the prettiest stretches of beach around. The service and attention is outstanding. We recently shot a wedding at Al Cielo with Reyna and McKenzie, click the link for the whole slideshow, here are a few for inspiration!

Hola, i am currently planning to have my wedding at  Al cielo hotel. Price depends on what type of wedding you are looking for. Here an example of what i am having and what it will cost me roughly.

ceremony setup with speaker and microphone, white chairs, runner with rose pedal ect...

cocktail hour with finger food and drinks on the beach with mexican trio band

3 course meal

7 hr premium open bar 430-1130

light up dance floor, with dj and lighting

projector to show guest a video

fire dancers

of course price changes with more guest. I am expecting between 30-60 ppl. the cost for 30ppl is about 10,000 and 150 extra per person after that. so i will be looking at about 15,000 for 60ppl.

But this does included every last detail of what my dream wedding would be. You could easily have a way more affordable wedding at this location just depends on what you are looking for.

The owner andres is great to talk to you and has been the best at replying to email over many other venue i have looked into. Just tell him what you are looking for and he will be able to give you a more accurate quote.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I planing on booking this venue very soon, just ironing out the last details with Andres before we commit 100%. my wedding is not until oct 2014 so i still have lot's of time to plan the big day.

Happy planing

Hi Danielle, thank you very very much for sharing! I actually booked with them shortly after posting this thread. Your plans for the wedding sound wonderful.

Will you have the light up dance floor on the beach? I was thinking about doing this, but I'm scared about the possibility of rain, though April is supposed the dryest month.

Excellent job on getting your planning started :)

Please let me know if there is anything you need to know, or information you'd like me to share. I just booked my photographer today. After tons and tons of research, I decided to go with Del Sol photography. It was between them and Elizabeth Medina.

yes we have the light up dance floor for the beach, when it comes to rain we are just gonna have to take our chances. But I'm sure it will be fine, even when it does rain in Mexico is usually only for short periods.

When are you getting married? April 2014? Have you been to the location?

I am going down next month to do a site visit and food tasting:) and providing we like what we see and taste we are going to commit to this venue!!

As for photographers i am still researching and looking at who to choose. I love Elizabeth Medina work, but her quote was over 7 grand for the package i wanted. I bit over the budget.

Del sol seems to have some great photographer, however i recently went down in may and met with a few photographers to help me make a decision. Del sol told me they don't have an office or anyone that could meet with me, and that didn't sit well with me. If i am going to pay 5-6 grand i like the opportunity to to meet them before i sign a contract.

But these are all the difficult detail of planing a destination wedding.

I am waiting until i have my venue booked before i continue with booking photographer and make up ect...

I have found a girl you has great reviews and prices for hair and make up. If you interested let me know and i can share detail with you.

Happy planning

Danielle

Hi Danielle and EvySF,

I'm also in the process of deciding to book a wedding there for later this year. Thanks for the great info. Yes, I do find Andres to be great at communicating with you. If there's anything I should look out for or ask the owner please let me know.

Danielle, did he include the cake in your pricing? Does the hotel simply coordinate all activities for you so we really don't have to worry about the logistics on the actual day?

In terms of photography, what should be a range to look for to include wedding day + a cenote trash the dress shoot?

Can you also please send me on the great make-up/hair artist that you've found? Thanks much!

I will share info as I find out as well.

Best,

Melissa

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
