Hi Tara,

Are  you talking about the new Azul Sensatori opening up in Negril? (according to their website, in November 2013) The one in Mexico looks amazing and I've heard only amazing things about it but my FI and I ruled out Mexico for our wedding. Jamaica is one of our top choices but I couldn't find any info about the new Azul (obviously since it's not opened yet)

Have you been in touch with their wedding coordinator? I don't want to assume their packages would be similar to Mexico since they are such difference countries and culture.

thanks!

@pzl101 I have been in touch a little with the wedding coordinator. She does not have a lot of details yet, but was able to share that they have the Pear and Silver Wedding packages and will NOT be offering a Free, Sweet wedding package. Both of these packages include up to 20 guests, so I am currently waiting to hear what they can do for a large group of 50-75 guests.

My travel agent is trying to get her on the phone this week with me. Would you like an update if this happens?

By "pear" I meant "Pearl". Hope this helps!

Yes, that would be great. We are leaning towards Secrets but nothing set yet and I am interested to hear how Azul in negril will be.  Thanks and happy planning!

No visit - just narrowed it down by the reviews and help here on BDW from previous Secrets brides. I was in Jamaica this past May and loved it. I stayed in Runaway Bay, not Montego Bay and the beach there was gorgeous - I was really worried about the quality of the MB beach but I read a lot of reviews on TripAdvisor that it's nice too.

We're having a small wedding (20-24 people) and felt Sandals, Riu and Iberostar were too big for what I wanted and Secrets looks like it has a nice balance of luxury and intimacy - Azul looks like that too which is why I'm interested. Although you're right, it looks a lot pricier!

Secrets do look very . If we didn't have children in the group, we would do Secrets or the Sandals in Whitehouse.

ok, no problem

sandals whitehouse was our favorite if sandals was in the running. But we have too many singles coming.

Mamzaleg- Our top four that seem to meet these requirements are: Grand Palladium, Half Moon, Azul Sensatori, and Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. I know Iberostar only does one wedding a day. I have also heard good things about the Riu Resorts. Hope this helps a little! Have you had any luck?

YES. I have also decided on Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. I love the one wedding a day!!!

Can I ask the rates you got per night for guests at this Azul? I have looked into it a lot, but I'm not sure if it will be too spendy for guests. I would also love to see more pictures than the website currently has. Congrats on choosing a resort! I'm sure it will be beautiful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
