Hi Ladies- my wedding is on 11/02/13 and i noticed some of you who are getting married 2014 already talking about the things that you have picked?!? I haven't picked anything and have only been in touch with Ana who has pretty much just taken my payments. I did get Ivan Luckie as my outside photographer. But I haven't picked a DJ, flowers, menu, etc. I am going to use most of what is offered by the hotel but not sure if I should have already started picking that stuff. HELP! Am I supposed to just wait till they contact me after the final payment is made?!?!? ~Distressed Bride ;)

Hello,

I understand how you feel.

I used to be the Groups & Conventions Manager at Barcelo and we used to do all the weddings as well 12 years ago!

Most of the All Inclusives start planning two months before the wedding date.  Since they worked based on packages in less than a week they can arrange with no problems all details BUT you as a Bride do not feel or see things this way, so I suggest to start arranging everything that do not concern directly the hotel by yourself or start looking for all details so when the time arrives you are ready with questions, photos, colors, type of flowers, etc.

Sometimes you do not need to stress out before because as I told you most of the hotels have different and their own deadline times to get everything arranged so just talk to your wc on site and ask her if you should start looking for some specifics or wait until she lets you know!

Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
