We are currently planning our wedding for May 2014! We are looking at Mexico and specifically those resorts that have chapels. I am currently working with a TA and I am awaiting quotes as I type.

I am so excited to be apart of this community now!

Congratulations!  That's awesome you have it on video and in Hawaii right by a waterfall!  Kudos to your fiance for the perfect spot!  We just have some right after pictures of me excited with my ring!

I'm looking a little before that timeframe in Mexico too.  What TA are you using?

Thank you!! Yes he did so very good. I am so happy we have so many pictures and a video to remember the day! I still spend most of may day staring at my ring haha.

I am using Luxe Destination Weddings. I know there are a lot of bad reviews out there but there are a lot of good ones too so I took a chance. Its paying out because my TA is amazing! Her name is Mandy and she is so nice and responsive and answers all of my questions quickly! She is making this process way less stressful. We are looking at the Royal but I am a bit worried about the price for guests so we shall see.

Where are you getting married?

Other than Playa del Carmen!  I want to stay at an All-Inclusive, get married in a Catholic church and have an off-resort reception.  Sounds simple, but it isn't.  I do need to figure out a travel agent to help with at least the resort part and future guest booking.

Yea i can see how that could be tough. I wanted to stay at one hotel and get married at another and that was just way too difficult and I thought it would be so easy. Esp since i see so many other brides online have done it.

Here is a non-resort church that I really like in Mexico: www.cristoresucitadocancun.org

I have to ask though, why are you guys wearing booties?

Those booties are so hilarious! The ground was sacred so we all had to wear them when we got off the helicopter

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
