Sandals "photography partners" and a few other ?'s

Recommended Posts

They partnered with several photgraphers, you have to click on photography partners http://www.sandals.com/weddingmoons/weddings/wedding-photographers.cfm

You can call Sandals directly and ask for prices for each, they won't allow anyone else on the property though. The best way to do it if you still want to get married at Sandals to get one of the partner photogs, have them take pics of the ceremony and then go off property to shoot and have reception later after all pics are taken. We had to rush our reception because of the pictures and we didn't have time to leave the property, so all our pics are kind of in the same area. Also, my personal advice, have someone do the video for you, or get video package from Sandals, we are very sorry now we didn't and our camera wasn't charged and no one checked it before the ceremony. We have small video shot by my mom and it brings all the memories much better than photos.

thanks for the link!

I haven't decided on a resort yet ... Sandals does a great job of marketing itself. The resorts do look amazing but I'm afraid maybe it's too big for my tastes.... decisions...decisions ...

Honestly, now that I had wedding there, I wouldn't do wedding at Sandals, I would choose smaller and more flexible resort for just the wedding and Sandals for honeymoon. BB wedding is free, but you'll end up paying for addons and if your guests are off property, it's very costly, you wouldn't ask guests pay for their own guest pass.

thanks for sharing your experience. i prefer a smaller resort as well. My fiance is very interested in Sandals but I think only because their website has a lot of info and makes it easy to read and looks pretty. He doesn't really read into the details about addons etc. Pictures are the most important thing to me and I don't really like being limited to who I can and cannot choose to take pics of my wedding!

i was worried about that guess pass thing. how much do they charge for that? sandals rooms are kinda pricey so some guests might opt to stay somewhere else :(

We had to get $150 p/p. Our wedding was at 4pm so we had to get all day pass and it included 3 hr reception and cocktail. Regular day pass is $75 pp. And as I said reception followed right after the ceremony which made us rush through the photos and reception and both children had to leave immediately after reception ended with both adults supervising them even though we paid full day passes. To me having a reception at Sandals wasn't worth the money. The total price of reception for 8 people was around 3000, I feel like we could get a much better deal if we went off property.

I am flying two down just paying 1 person flight hotel and the other hotel. They will do it for my for free. awesome !! much better than paying $2800 for 4 hours, outrageous!

Hi hope your question was answered. In regards to the reception if you have enough people just do the free one for the hour and then go to restaurant and eat dinner together!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
