Wedding Coordinator - Low Cost

Recommended Posts

Hello Ladies,

My fiance and I are planning a January 2014 wedding in Cabo at the Sunset da Mona Lisa.  Based on my communication with the venue, it looks like we are required to have a wedding coordinator.  I've contacted a few WC's and their service fees are all $1500-2500.  We don't want an elaborate reception (more like a nice dinner with 20-25 people), so we really don't need a lot of help with wedding coordination.  I'm comfortable finding our own officiant, flowers, etc (since all of you are so great with your recommendations!).  Does anyone know of a lower cost WC?  Thanks :)

Hola!

That is pricey!  I truly understand how it is to be on a budget, especially for a destination wedding. Check out these two sites  http://www.CaboBeachWeddings.com  and http://www.asunsetwedding.com They are sister companies and work together, they also have their own rental company which helps to bring down costs. Two wedding coordinating companies working as one can afford a to give you a lower coordination fee as oppose a smaller wedding coordinating company msnwink.gif

Hope that helps and congrats on your engagement!

Hola,

Wow that is a lot!  I can suggest visiting http://www.CaboBeachWeddings.com and http://asunsetwedding.com  They are sister companies! And the even have their own rental company which will help cut down on some costs.

Going with a wedding coordinating company that has merged is going to cost less as opposed to going with a smaller wedding coordinating company.

Congrats on your engagement!

Cheers,

Chrisitna

I'm using Illeana Reyes from Romantic Cabo Weddings, and she originally quoted me 2k for 50 guests, but went down down significantly when I negotiated with her. I imagine she'd charge 1k or less for such a small wedding (but that's just a guess). Shes been great so far. And yes, you need a WC for a wedding at SDML. Congrats! It's such a beautiful place!!!!! It's where I wanted to get married but it was out of my budget. Good luck!!

I just got married a couple of weeks ago in Cabos. It was at an amazing villa.... Villa Cielito in Chileno Bay. In the beginning I had decided to not use a WC. However, as the big day approached ..clearly I needed some help. Then i thought maybe I just needed a coordinator for the day & I'd deal w all the vendors myself. In the end, I am so glad  I used  Maye Cortinas as a full WC. Had ~25 people for my wedding and she gave me a great rate of $1200. She was awesome. She's a local and was absolutely great & patient about everything...especially when I kept changing things on her. Although we didn't have a large wedding...there were still a lot of details to work out. She's affordable and very helpful.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
