Hi Ladies, i'm starting this thread because I can't find anyone posting about having had or planning a private Villa/villas wedding at TCI. Anyone out there? Lol We are in the beginning stages of planning our oct 2014 wedding. Trying to decide on the Beach, we found some great villas in Long Bay and Taylor Bay, so having hard time picking...we might squeeze in a site visit this summer to help us. Anyone else?;)

We just got back! But I spent all my time on Grace Bay so I can't say much about anywhere else. The beach at Grace Bay was absolutely beautiful! I'm sure the rest of the island has beautiful beaches too!
Thanks Kim, It loos like I might be the only bride here planning a villa wedding for 2014. Lol kind of sad:(

Villa weddings are not as frequent as resort weddings but they are really lovely, we seem to have a lot of weddings in villas on Grace Bay...Both Taylor Bay and Long Bay are wonderful though.  I happen to live in Long Bay and love this area.   Things to consider:  Long Bay is closer to the main area of Provo...it's easier to get to Grace Bay, shops, restaurants, Grocery stores etc.  Taylor Bay is on the other side of the island and more removed from everything (think quiet)...but has a wonderful shallow water beach and Las Brisas (restaurant on Chalk Sound) is a favorite place for our families to go for an afternoon to rent kayaks or have Paella. Sapadilla Bay is another Beach just a short drive away.   If you have guests that are happy to just be and enjoy the beach and surroundings, cook in, Taylor Bay is a great option.  If you have a group that wants to go/do/see/ plan excursions/shop/ try restaurants then Long Bay is going to be much more convenient in terms of driving time and ease.  One thing to note is that Long Bay is the place that all of the kiteboarding happens on island (the best wind).  If it's a windy day, there will be kiteboarders in the background on the water.  (If you have a lot of watersports lovers, Long bay beach by the shore club is wonderful!)

I did a quick search on our blog...we do a lot of family portrait shoots in Taylor Bay...I found a one villa wedding that may give you some idea:

If you search for Taylor or Long Bay, you can see villas or the beach although most of the shoots are family portrait sessions if you are curious.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with

Hello,

I have recently begun to search for a wedding venue. I am leaning towards a private villa wedding as well.

I am expecting about 40 people.

I want to keep it pretty minimal and simple, I wonder if I would need to hire a planner.

Do you plan on getting a wedding coordinator?

Where would you rent table/chairs?

Are there other caterers that do weddings besides the kissing fish company?

Hi,

We have done quite a bit of wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions on Providenciales. We also frequently have to use services from other on-island companies and vice versa.

I do believe that we will be able to handle most of your needs.

Drop us an email and we will forward or services catalog to you:

Thanks.

Daniel.

Hey Steph, Sorry for the delay, I have been slammed with work. My fiancé and I are getting ready to go on our site visit. We will be in TCI 23-28th. I have a few meetings with local vendors regarding the rentals and wedding planner. I will give the whole scope when I get back:)) Any Villas in particular I should check out (that you liked)? @@steph please forgive me, I have been MIA. We had a fantastic time in Turks and Caicos, found perfect villa and a great caterer...and just decided to prob move our wedding to Tulum, Mexico:( we felt very guilty about crazy amount of travel and transfers (and visas) that our friends and family from Europe have to go though and think it will not be worth it. However, If you are still planning on having a Villa wedding, write me a PM and I prob will be able to answer every question you might have. We have visited every beach and even saw brand new properties that are not up for rent yet. I would love to share all me research, so it doesn't go to waste. And I have an amazing amazing caterer for you;))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
