*planned a homebirth instead. He came after an hour and 22 minutes and I was very, very glad I didn't try to go to the hospital.

With my second I was worried about having the baby on the car because my first was so fast and just planned a home birth

Wow- I didn't realize how small of a town you came from! Wow, that would be pretty intense!

A home birth.... yikes. My city roots are showing- THAT terrifies me! hahaha But I can imagine how beautiful and intimate it would be.

There's a good hospital, just no surgery. They had an awesome birthing suite though, with a tub and a huge shower, plus yoga balls and a bunch of other things. It was a wonderful experience.

It was really awesome, and being able to just be after was worth more than I can tell you. Not having anybody poking at me probably saved me from being nasty too. Besides, I was closer to a hospital with full surgical help there (in a city) than I was when I had my first, and the midwife had all the same equipment that the hospital I had my first in did. That's how I convinced FH (And I told him he could figure out childcare for our oldest if we had to spend a couple of days in the hospital lol)

Favourite moment with your FI? (engagement doesn't count!)
We don't have kids other wards I'm sure that'd be number one :) Mine is we went to London for the weekend before we got engaged. I was sick but somehow it was still an amazing weekend. After that weekend I knew there was no on else for me (he must have too cuz he proposed a month and a half later! Lol)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
