Mel's the name.

You have a point there Mrs. TobeD. It's going to be so fun travelling with so many people. There's 18 of us on one plane and 12 on another (and some travelling from other places...) Just the plane alone is going to be awesome. Ha ha Ha

Right now I don't have much left I don't think. My Mom is making the flower girl basket. The pillow was done by my grandma (Step-grandma?)

I have to send the script to our chosen officiant. I have to write my vows. I have everything for centerpieces, and I'm only missing a couple things for the OOT bags (tylenol, maybe immodium? and the toppers.) Ummm, have dress fittings to go to, have to make packing lists, and a welcome speech.... what else... I'm sure there are a few other things. I have a good handle on it though. (an 18-month engagement will do that.)

I heard (read) that shipping to MX is a really bad idea, and for those getting married in DR, I am Dominican and used to have an store in there, ladies, customs will hold your packages until you go and get them, they will make you cry with custom fees. So no, I am not shipping anything.

Just don't be dancing on top of tables, I have a friend that broke her ankle during her bachelorette party, a week before the wedding, got married on a pretty blue cast. LOL

A welcome speech! Good thinking, I didn't have that one on my list. :) Sounds like you're well on your way - very exciting!

Yeah, I have heard that shipping to MX doesn't always work out so well so I guess that's why I was wondering how most people get their stuff down there. Are you just taking a bunch of luggage? Or passing some items to other guests?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
