I am from Saskatoon, but visited Vancouver a couple years ago with my sister. We stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour and our favourite restaurant in that area was Cardero's. They had really good service, and amazing sangaria. And a nice view!

I was out cleaning my balcony yesterday myself! Over the winter, there ended up being sooooo much sludge and gross dirt on our railing, so I was sitting out there, wiping them all down with a bowl and magic eraser! haha Only got about half of them done.... and the windows are my mission for this weekend!

We have HUGE windows that face out to Lake Ontario and we can see the Toronto skyline, so it's a view worth seeing, but it's terrifying standing on a chair outside wiping them all down when I am 10 stories up, so I only like to do it when someone is home---- because you know, logic says if something were to happen, my FI would be able to sprint from the living room, out the door and catch me if I start to fall over the railing (that is actually about 2 feet behind me).

Damn fear of heights- makes no sense to me!

I don't think we are having a rehearsal.  They say we don't need one anyway.  I think we'll just do a welcome dinner of some sort.  I've bought some cute dresses for dinner but that's about it!

I love Cardero's! Do you have a restaurant you would recommend in Saskatoon?

How far along in the planning process is everyone on this thread? We are really just getting started. Have the dress. Just ordered STD's. Have the wedding booked. How close to your date did you start talking to the wedding coordinator at your resort? Ours wants the planning sheet 1 to 2 months before.

Hi Zeman,

I have one year and exactly 21 days to go. I am sending the save the dates this weekend/next week, I don't have the dress and weird but true, is the last thing I am worrying about, I feel like one year is too much to get a dress, I know myself and I know I would just get tired of it and get 3 more or 5 from here to the wedding. I also don't plan on spending a fortune on it, I will go with a floor sample or a super discounted one so I don't have to worry about waiting time while they get my dress ready.

My resort (MP) give me I think 90 days before wedding date to start coordinating but I have already emailed with her a couple times in regards to vendors, etc, so far we don't get alone since I feel she is lying to me.

Where are you getting married? Why do you think she is lying and about what? What a horrible feeling that would be. We haven't had much contact with our WC because we are so far out, but I hope she is pretty responsive as we get closer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
