Oh wow! We are nearly the opposite! :) I.e we met, got together, were together for nearly 10 years before we got engaged, and now we've been engaged for a couple of years as well :)

This is a tough one since my fiancé lives in England and I live in Canada so every time we see each other is a trip/holiday for one of us :P I'd say our weekend in London was my favourite! Question for all you ladies, how did you and your fiancé meet?
We grew up in the same small town. He was part of my sisters group of friends. We've known each other for 14 years, we've been together for 5.5 years and we've been engaged for 5 months. By the time we get married we'll have been together for 7 years.

Easy... our 10th anniversary vacation to Puerto Vallarta.... yes, it was our engagement week as well. But that was after. the days leading up to our anniversary was just as incredible as the day itself. It was the first time we had ever gone on a true vacation, just the teo of us. We always went somewhere with family, or were in school and broke, or moving back to Mississauga, and adjusting to life back here (aka more $$$$$$$$$$$$), and always spending our money on everyone else but us. So the fact that we took the time, scrimped every single dollar we could and made our 10th anniversary a special occasion to us was amazing! Made all the more so with him proposing.... but it was by far the BEST vacation we had ever, ever, ever been on!

No problem at all! I know how much it meant to me to have people be nice and try to get to 150! And hey, in a world that is so tough, let us all celebrate the great in our lives!

bunny_4.gif high school LOL We met in grade 9, but it took him until the end of grade 11 to convince me we should date.... then we broke up after 2 months, and he made me wait a whole month before allowing us to get back together. At first it was sooo weird for me to be dating my best friend, but when I broke up with him, instantly, I knew it was the biggest mistake of my life. But he made me work for it, to prove I was serious this time, and we have been together ever since! 10 years, and 10 months cat.gif

I'm a production accountant and my FI is a producer, and my old boss was his accountant. One day I got a call from my old boss "I just met your future husband". After I rolled my eyes he convinced us to meet and go on a date...and we had a great time! 4 yrs later, the accountant is officiating our ceremony. :)

Favorite vacation: Cinque Terre, Italy. Must go if you haven't.

Favorite moment: fine. I'll say it. waking up and falling asleep perfectly snuggled within, like a cocoon.

You will get there! Keep posting! Trust me, you'll get there!

Love your moment woot.gif

Honestly, DO IT! It was the most memorable experience. Yes, it is always nice to see family/ etc..... but the bond you develop being away, just you two, is truly, truly, incredible!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
