Hello Iberostar Cancun Brides! I got an email from the new wedding coordinator, her name is Paula Mijares. The email address for her is the same: weddings.cancun@iberostar.com Glad the have someone in place and she seems great from the few emails we've exchanged so far. Happy planning to all :)

Hi Lastmin, I chose it for: -the proximity to the airport, -the fact that it is on the Cancun strip but has more of a resort feel than the hotels along the strip -I like the pools down the middle of the resort. It will be easier for people to find other members of our group. Too large a place and people are spread out all over, part of the fun of the week is family spending time together - I liked the location options, we're doing ceremony on the grass (big lawn overlooking the beach), cocktail on miramar Terrace near ceremony site and outdoors overlooking the ocean and reserved a whole restaurant for our reception (not included in package, $1000 extra) because the 1.5 hours semi-private in the package wasn't of interest - I found the package inclusions and pricing were reasonable. - there is only one wedding per day so we have the Coordinators full attention - room size and guaranteed ocean view were a major plus for guests - majority of reviews and pictures on Tripadvisor are positive and appealing Hope that helps! Which resorts are you deciding between?

Thanks CGY. My top choice was Moon Palace, but I've been dealing with their memebership weddings office and came a hairpin closemofmbeing completely scammed by them. Second runners are Iberostar and Royal/Grand Caribe I'm looking for a venue with a great ballroom for the reception, great view for ceremony (preferably not right on the beach), and a family friendly resort for my nieces/nephews and guests with kids. Luxury all the way. About 100 guests. And wanting perks for bringing in those 100 guests. What were your finalists?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
