Shelley,

What a tough decision for the two of you to make. I'm really proud of you, like everyone else has said, for not pushing forward just because..

Is a good compromise to go through with your plans to marry on the beach just at a smaller scale and maybe before that day, have a home wedding (smaller scale also)?

Do you have guests that have booked?

We're here for you! smile03.gif

Sad to say, that was the first thing I thought of Angela.

Have you told people yet Shelley? Is there a possibility you two will change your mind?

Aw I'm really sad to hear this sad.gif

It must have been so tough to make a decision like that, but I'm glad that the two of you have thought things through and decided on what's going to work best for both of you! No matter what happens or when it comes, your wedding day is going to be perfect, but it has to be perfect for both of you!!

I'm really glad Amos told you how he was feeling...I don't think anything would be worse than the two of you going through with it and then him having regrets about *anything*

Big hugs to you!!

Aww Shelley it takes a selfless person to give up your dream for someone you love, Amos is blessed to have you. The two of you will be stronger for this, Amos will never doubt your love and committment to him and to his happiness. One day you will get the wedding of your dreams, but it will be so much better because it will be the wedding of Amos's dreams also.

Shelley allow yourself to be sad, I think anyone of us would be, we are here to support you through this, and then we will still be here to celebrate with you when you and Amos decide what your new dream wedding will look like.

Shelley - NOOOOOO!!!! OMG - I don't know what to say. I know how excited you were about everything. I'm so upset for you right now.

What can I do to help you? Do you want me to make some phone calls for you? Send out emails? Whatever you want, I can help you.

If you want, I can come down to MD next weekend and we can go out and get stupid drunk. We're all here for you. Whatever you need!!!!

Wow. That is one big bummer. I'm so dissapointed for you. All I can say is that Amos is one lucky man for having a woman who is so dang understanding. I can pretty much assure you Andy would have a hell of a black eye for springing that on me in that scenario after all of the hard work you did and all of the excitement you had built up. fryingpan.gif Basically, what I am trying to say is good for you for being more understanding, patient, and loving that I would be in the same situation. Go ahead and be angry, sad, whatever......this just isn't fair and I'm upset and sad for you!!! I really hope you get to put all of your amazing projects and thoughful things to good use wherever you decide to have your wedding. Once again....so sorry Shelley...so no freakin fair for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
