RIU PALACE COSTA RICA (New beside RIU Guanacaste)

Recommended Posts

Congratulations Catwilliams! I almost booked my wedding at the same time!!

It was a REALLY tough decision but I ultimately chose Hilton Papagayo over the RIU Palace. FI and I went to visit in July because I was so torn between the two, seeing the places made us lean towards Hilton. It's a little more intimate, even though we're having a rather large wedding, about 80 guests. I think our guests would have had a great time at the Palace also.

How has your planning going at the Riu Palace? We are planning for April 2015 at the Westin but just came across the Palace. The Palace looks very nice too and probably more affordable for our guests!

Our wedding is in April at the Palace, and so far planning has been easy. If you have any questions I can try and help, once we get back I would be able to say more about the resort itself and the experience.

Hello fellow destination brides!  My FI and I are trying to find a resort for our special day.  Do any of you have pricing information for receptions etc for the riu palace?  I'm only able to find wedding ceremony pricing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  The palace looks gorgeous

Got married at the RIU Palace in April 2014 if anyone has any questions!

Hi there!!! I am so glad that I stumbled upon this post - I just got engaged last month and want to look into the Palace for my wedding November 2015. Before I dive in deep, can you please share some more details about your wedding experience with this resort, such as:

-What part of the resort did you have your actual ceremony at?

-Can you clarify pricing and what exactly that pricing included and did not include?

-My fiance speaks Spanish and I can speak a bit too, however, we communicate much better in English - were there any language barriers when dealing with the hotel's wedding coordinators?

-Did you do a walk through before the actual event? If so, details?

Any other tips, information, etc would be extremely helpful!!! Thank you in advance :)

-Danielle

Got married at the RIU Palace in April 2014 if anyone has any questions!

I am planning a wedding for June 2015 and having a hard time deciding between the two resorts of Riu.

My wedding will have about 60 guests, but I want to bring my own photographer and DJ, do you know if they will work with me on those extras?

Thank you I advance!

Hello, I am in major confused mode right now! my thoughts when planning the wedding would be thst I woul pay my own way and the cost of the wedding, but I am told I am respo sible for paying for all of the rooms upfront, is that right? And if so, how does that work when my guest book and pay?

Also, what is the major difference between the palace and the riu guanacasta?

Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
