A little thing I like to call "Operation Wedding Dress" (aka, my dress is too small... but it won't be soon!)

Ooh good tip!! So today, my car was hit while it was parked on the road... The driver took off but came back eventually.... It ruined my whole extra day off, dealing with it :( BUT... I made myself a milkshake... Omg, with ice cream, bananas a, chocolate and peanut butter... Caloric goodness..... And then.... I poured it out :( a waste I know... But..... The dress.. Doesn't fit... And I'm trying it on again tomorrow..... Soooo.......... I ate watermelon instead.

Lol I did the same thing recently, got lost in the bush... Which is, hilariously IN Edmonton.... In the city :P

I cannot lie... This was in the city too - London.  There are really nice trails very close to our house, but the signage is really poor.  They all loop around these 3 lake/ponds.  I am directionally challenged so I was no help.  In the end it was a great work-out.  :)

Awwww, I make fake shakes...... frozen banana, low fat plain yogurt, almond milk, protein powder and spinach (yeah I know sounds weird) every morning. I swear it helped me with the weight loss. I got veggies in without even knowing it. Sorry some jerk hit you :( hope the rest of the night got better

Thanks :) I'm going to make a healthy shake today!

So TODAY is the day I try on my dress again!  I know it still won't fit... I haven't made a TON of progress.... but I do weigh about 6 pounds less than the last time.  It's clear I need to be more aggressive with my workouts (meaning not just whenever I feel like it lol) and stick to my new diet, which I did yesterday except I did have a coffee and a muffin, BUT the point was to earn my treats and I totally did work out so I call that a win!

Today I'm going to measure the distance between the zippers, which I didn't do last time.. that way I can measure my progress next month. This month I'll just have to take my sister's word for it... and she tends to be really encouraging haha so I'm sure she'll be like, "it's WAYYY better" when it's not much different at all.

FI got a decline bench the other day, I did crunches on it yesterday - WOW! My abs are KILLING me today.  Normally I can easily do 100 crunches on the floor and I'm not sore the next day, clearly that wasn't doing much.  I did 30 and my abs are sore from top to bottom!

WOW! great work ladies.

I probably would have drank the milkshake And then regretted it later! More will power then me! lol Depends on my mood how much willpower I have haha.

I make a smoothie each morning. This week its frozen Blueberrys with a splash of skim milk and protein powder. Usually I have strawberries in there but I ran out :(

So far this week I have worked out monday( even after I stuffed my face with chinese for mine and bros bday, and let me just say.. trying to do abs while your stomach has a food baby in it.. =fail) Yesturday I had baseball and a soccer game. Today I wont get to work out because I have to work at my second job right after my first job. Tomrorow ILl prob do some weights and a 20 min cardio. Fri working again at both jobs. And then saturday ILl make up for the days i missed this week :)

Lets keep up the good work and progress ladies :)

No prob! I'm sur eyou made some progress!! 6lbs is a decent amount of weight. Do you have dumbells at home? Deadlifts help with the tummy area also.

this is a great thread to try to stay accountable and share ideas for losing weight. I know my wedding isn't for a while, but I really want to get into shape sooner rather than later! I plan on doing the same thing with buying my dress a size or two too small for motivation, but I am also nervous that the day will come and it still won't fit!

I personally wouldnt buy the dress too many sizes smaller. I bough tmy dress for the size that I was when I measured it. Its easier to take a dress in then to take it out or to buy a whole new dress all together.

I know that its some motivation to keep going But I find my motivation is to have my dress that I have now to be a bit bigger then when i bought it. And have it taken in as well as to stay motivated to eat and work out :)

oh damn! that sucks! :(

I would buy the dress in the size that you are when you go. and just try and maintain or continue to lose after you can eat again. You might be so acustom to not eating as much you might just continue with it. I mean dont starve yourself obviously lol But eat within reason and just keep monitoring everything . OR buy a dress a lil bigger. LIke i said its way easier for them to take in then to let out. :) Im sure you will be fine though

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
