hey!! most people have oily eyelids, so always use an eyemake up primer. also I have maybelline eye studio waterproof eyeliner and it lasts all day! hope this helps!!!

Thank you all SO much for all this information! I'm really nervous about my makeup. I have tried multiple kinds of eyeliner, but for some reason it always ends up on the skin under my eyes. The weird part is that I only put it on my upper lid and I NEVER touch my eyes when I'm wearing it. So it's quite the mystery as to how it ends up smearing down under my eyes. Is there a particular eyeliner that anyone would suggest that is waterproof and stays put throughout the day? I'm so tired of ending up looking like I have raccoon eyes by mid day!

To keep my eyeliner intact I use a bit of black eye shadow and an angled brush and put it on top of my liner. That way the shadow sets the liner in.

I am very light coloring, (hair and eyes) but tan easily, so I dont want to appear washed out...I also worry about too much eyeliner, I typically don't wear too much black eyeliner, but I like how the bride in the photo looks! I also am thinking of false eyelashes, but worry that in the hot Caribbean sun they will fall off, lol!  What is the most important to show up in photos, eyes or lips or both!

I am actually doing eyelash extensions (individuals for a natural look)...they were only $35 for both eyes and last two weeks...perfect to combat your fear of them falling off hahah

We think is important to wear eyeliner, it makes your eyes appear bigger and also make them pop. Choose a more dramatic look on the wedding day would make the difference in your PHOTOS.

Take a look to this pic; Check out her eyes;

I may differ in my opinion because I think that bride has WAY too much black makeup on her eyes...I think it makes them look smaller and she is very light blonde so I believe a brown liner would have looked more natural/better (but this is just my personal opinion/preference). I don't want it to be too obvious that I am wearing lots of makeup, my fiance prefers a more natural look.  I am going Saturday to do a makeup test run at MAC. I used the same person for my engagement shoot and he was wonderful. He used a brown eyeshadow and wet a brush and applied eye-liner that way and it looked absolutely amazing.

Sehausle, I am with you, I keep looking at this picture and how I can really see the definition and happiness I see in the eyes of the groom (no make up) compared to all the black I see on the bride's eyes, I am sure she has beautiful eyes too, but TOO much eyeliner so is hard to tell. Is actually the one thing that you can see the most in the entire picture, it makes her eyes look so small!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
