I literally just had this thought. Especially I've been so money concious lately.... I'm not really sur ehow helpful it will be, but I'm kinda just wanting to be in the presence of other brides, so i don't feel so crazy in my wedding planning world. Too bad you're not coming?! Oh wells... hopefully we too get nice swag bags too!

I got a coworker to come with me! I know most of it wont be directed towards us DW brides but I dont plan to be a bride ever again in my life so I figured why not?

I'm down to meet up also.

Where are you ladies getting your bridesmaid dresses from? 3 out of the 5 girls in my bridal party live out of state ( Georgia and Florida) so I have no idea how I'm going to work this thing out...I quickly glanced through some at RK Bridal when I was shopping for my dress but none really caught my eye. Where else should I look?

I'm kind of in the same situations and since I'm already having a destination wedding I'm trying to keep things cost effective. I am likely going to have my girls get their dresses from David's Bridal just because they can go to the store in their own hometown to try it on, get it fitted etc.

I don't know what the general concensus is around here about Davids Bridal but I know that would probably be the most easiest and economical way for everyone to try on and purchase their dresses. I would assume you could do the same with any big department store dresses like (Lord & taylor, Bloomingdales or macys) Give that a try

Well I can't drink because of my training but it would be nice to say hi to everyone and put faces to names -

I don't see me hanging out at the bridal show for more than an hour so maybe there is Havana Central near the Marriott and on Fridays for happy hour (4-7pm): http://havanacentral.com/events/events-calendar/happy-hour-6-2013-09-27/

Just a thought!

I also chose to have a DW because both mine and my fiancés families are huge!! It would easily cost over 40k to have our wedding in NY. I love the idea of having a DW. Itâ€s a week of paradise with your closest friends and family and the icing on the cake is your wedding! I canâ€t wait!!! I visited Majestic Elegance last summer and it was amazing!!!

I live in PA (Lancaster) but we both from the NYC. We Choose DW to try and keep it simple (its been far from simple but cheaper then a NYC wedding) and so that my FI sibling can attend. We will be staying at Dreams Palm Beach but having our wedding festivities at the Jellyfish on 6/15/2014.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
