Hi Ladies,

It is so great to know that there are other 2015 brides on here. Sometimes it feels far away and that I am planning to far in advance but like many of you have said it gives us time to research and make the right decision. I am currently planning to be a Now Jade bride in Cancun, Mexico. I am actually already legally married but my husband and I never had a wedding nor anyone there when we got married at the courthouse. We really just set a date one week and went and did it. Told everyone later that week. Nothing special, no dinner, nothing. My hubby promised me on our 5th year anniversary we would renew our vows and have my dream wedding. Well that day is finally within sit so April 25, 2015 is the date. I am sooooo excited as I have waited for this day for so long. Doing a destination wedding was my compromise but now I am overly joyed that I agreed to his idea because I know my wedding will surely be one to remember for my guest and very different than what any of them are use too. Anyways, I can't wait to share ideas with you all and enjoy this journey together.

Hello out there! May 2015 bride-to-be here, and thrilled! Just when I think I've thought about nailing down a decision, I find out new info, and change my mind, good thing I've got so much time. My fiancé and I are planning for Cabo, on the sand wedding is my dream, and really unsure as to what location. We plan on keeping the numbers, hopefully between 30-50 guests (depends who wants to come on vacation I guess), a sit-down style dinner, mariachi band for the appy-drink-&mingle hour while we're having photos. I've read about a cigar roller on site, and that sounded cool, hot the hair place all picked out.... Still stumped on what resort for us. We tossed the Sunset de Mona Lisa for the whole wedding, but travelling from a resort doesn't appeal, plus, I don't get the sand in my toes, like I want. I'm thinking seriously of the Melia Cabo Real for the whole shebang, as the photos are beautiful, the father and brother golf.... a lot ! Lol, and seems to be pretty reasonable, although I know from now until then, prices will change. Any one have any recommendations for vendors or locations that have been stellar for you? Ie, photographer ( no video), music... Another item we have been on the fence about is hiring a travel coordinator. We are ok with people wanting to stay elsewhere, depending on their wants/needs, and I've found in the past that I can get much better prices than what I've paid when going with a coordinator to 'arrange' my holiday, especially when a wedding is involved, it seems the prices jump when they hear that word? Maybe I'm mistaken or missing something? Thanks all for your input, and good luck to all of you out there!! Anne

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
