Hi!

We have finally set a date! August 8, 2015 and although it is very far in advance, I would love to start planning and love to see that there are already some 2015 brides out and about!! YAY I am not crazy or alone!! Still have not settled on a destination, but am leaning towards Jamaica.. Any advice on how you ultimately decided on your locale? Not the hotel or resort, but the actual destination??? I would love to hear your thoughts and reasoning!

xoxo

welcome to our forum community, infinitybride15, and Congrats!!! on your upcoming destination wedding :)

Based in Playa del Carmen in the heart of the incomparable Mayan Riviera, we're obviously biased in preferring our location :)

Of course, the fact that thousands of wedding couples also choose our area for their wedding celebration destinations every month, is somewhat of another endorsment too - hehe :)

Here's a sample of why our gorgeous area is such a popular choice for providing the backgrounds for those magical "moments that matter" photos - recording their Wedding Stories.......enjoy :)

We also took into consideration cost, length of flight, and where we had already been. The other two things we thought about were how easy it would be to get legally married in that country (some countries require blood tests, translators, etc.) and whether or not the country offered a location/resort that was aligned with what we were looking for.

I think it is awesome that you're starting planning early!

Hello! Welcome to the forum! I am happy to see another 2015 bride on here :) my fiancé and I have chosen somewhere in Mexico and leaning toward Los Cabos. My fiancé is Mexican and We both thought Mexico would be a very meaningful place. We both have never been to Los Cabos so it's unique to us too :) Jamaica sounds like a beautiful place too. Way back in the day I know my parents honeymooned there and they made so many good memories seeing Jamaica. :) I look forward to hearing your plans and along the way if you need any advice do not hesitate to ask. Congrats again! Happy Planning!

Hi,

It is never TOO early to begin your planning for your wedding. A wedding is to be planned ahead so that you can give yourself a chance to explore all of your options. I chose my destination to the Dominican Republic simply because I fell in love with the unique wedding packages that were offered. I also took into consideration price as well as the overall beauty of the wedding. Please keep n contact hopefully we can share ideas, stress and planning lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
